The only Charlaine Harris books I've read are her Harper Connolly books. There are four of those and I really, really enjoyed them. I choose not to read her Sookie books for various reasons but still I've enjoyed her style so much in the Harper Connolly series that I wanted very much to find other...
This was a really fun book. The first few chapters can seem confusing, but after you get the real story of what happened to Lil it all makes sense. Very good first book. Will try the rest of the series.
The first book of a mystery/murder series ... I think it's a good start. Interesting characters. Heroine with dark past. Although the murder motive is a bit blah for me but Ms. Harris keeps a nice job of keeping it under wrap until the last chapters. I will still need to adjust to her writing style....
