Five stars because I was pretty blown away by the caliber of this 4th book in the 39 Clues "Vespers" series. Roland Smith certainly upped the ante with plot. I've been left a bit traumatized and can't wait till the next installment.
Why am I still reading this? I don't know if it's because I'm a sentimental person or if it's just that I can't stop myself...Anyway~ I don't know, I liked this book a lot even though it was less than 200 pages. Inexplicable plot. Unnecessary deaths. Contrived love-triangles. Baseless plot-twists. Zero progress.Self-inflicted, and I knew better.
