8.25.2020 Christ am I done with this book? It's like a train wreck that I can stop watching. Or in this case, reading. Basically, I hate the main character. There is nothing redeeming about this girl. She is a self-centered bitch of a brat. I loath her. So..really even if she turns the corner on he...

I should have known better but I picked this up for $0.50 to listen in the car. Man, parts of this were so boring that I was rethinking listening to this while driving. (It was massively putting me to sleep.)This is a story of a girls' coming of age. The first part is really just her day to day l...

This is one of the few books that makes me cry. I may feel sorrow when I read an angsty book, but normally I don't cry. Well this ...

I got to this book before Oprah and I glad I was able to enjoy it without all the hype. This was not normally my kind of book but it was wonderful.

I'd be hard pressed to come up with anything I liked about this. I'm really tired of fat as a metaphor for insulated and unhappy.

There definitely seems to be a love/hate relationship between this book and readers. I happen to fall on the side of those who loved it. I cried buckets at the end. Maybe I was ripe for emotional manipulation at the time I read it, but it worked for me.
