It wasn't a bad book, but it wasn't a great book either. A story about a spiritual journey from ignorance to true enlightenment. I never went into any true depths when it comes to Buddhism, but I can see where Eckhart Tolle got his inspiration from - being in the Now, freeing yourself of your Ego - ...
“Words do not express thoughts very well. They always become a little different immediately they are expressed, a little distorted, a little foolish.” I read the Modern Library edition, translated by Susan Bernofsky with an introduction by Tom Robbins. I liked this translation and it was easy to und...
Not what I was expecting when I started it, but I enjoyed it. At times is was somewhat dense and the story seemed to be very simplistic at times, though I think this is a positive for the work as a whole. I will likely have to read it at least once more to understand what the message was.

Good but also makes me a bit nervous that this work is being approached by a German. S...

It can be theistic (the Aham Brahma Asmi - "I am the Brahman" or Tat Tvam Asi - "Thou Art That" of Hinduism) or atheistic (the Buddhist Nirvana, based on the Anat...
