If I judged this book by the first 40% or so, I would have given it 2 stars. I'm glad I stuck with it! Sometimes I wanted to reach in and SMACK Vi and Cain. The end of the book is just amazing so I kind of overlooked my issues with the beginning. Check out my full review at http://www.thebookdiscipl...

This wasn't quite your typical 'bad boy/sweet girl' romance. It managed to avoid a lot of the trite traps that most of these type of books fall prey to.

Sexy MMA fighter: Check! Kick-ass heroine: Check! Explosive chemistry: Check! Sexy accent: Check! I love that Francesca can kick ass but still has a vulnerable side that only Tony gets to see. That said, I didn't like the way she pushes him away. Tony comes off as a cocky SOB, but he is actually ...

I got it, yet Frances’ issues started to wear thin for me after a while. Besid...

I read this as an ARC from NetGalley.I feel sort of ambivalent about it. I liked the heroine, Francesca, enough. She presents herself as tough and put together to hide her insecurities related to men. I'm not so sure about the hero, Tony. He's a bit of a dick with his jealousy and anger, but I g...
