The fourth part of the trilogy.... and altogether better than the 3rd book.Arthur Dent returns and for no apparent reason so does planet earth, yep it's apparently never been away, weird stuff just happens. So Alderaan you just might be OK after all.

I thought I'd already written about this. Mysterious. So there are three of us in my apartment in St John's Wood ages ago. We'd been out with a woman drinking until not so much the early hours of the morning as the late. Now it was about 4pm. We were all still in bed, with not the least ambition of g...

Hitchhiker's, volume 4.This is noticeably less good than it's three predecessors, particularly in terms of plot, but it still has plenty of splashes of brilliance:Arthur and Fenchurch fly.Wonko the Sane declaring the world beyond his inside-out house is an asylum. Rob McKenna is a rain god but doesn...

I just finished it, and I don't quite know what happened... The plot gets two stars and the humor bumped it up to three.I just...have no clue what happened? Hopefully the last book will be better.

I don't know how Mr. Adams did it, but he sure did it well and with seeming ease. The book, on the whole, was great as usual, with see...

Well, nothing ever again approached the sporadically appealing random humor of the original and while I liked this one better than some of the other volumes, I could still certainly have lived without it. So, 2.

This book doesn't reach the level of the others from the same "Hitchikers serie", nevertheless it has its funny moments.

This was where the Hitchhiker's trilogy stopped being particularly funny. I just didn't laugh at the narrator's question, when discussing Arthur Dent's need for companionship: "Does he not, to put it in a nutshell, f**k?" Skip it, and skip Mostly Harmless.
