I DNF this book maybe about 40% through, so I won't give it a star rating. It was well written and actually enjoyed it. The author had a good sense of the characters and I felt like that was projected well in the book.I just had too much anxiety over wanting to punch Jared in the dick.

So, this was incredibly readable but some stuff about drove me batty. Connor was SO painfully shy and occasionally it was just a bit annoying and Jared was a bit of a douche who didn't even seem really into Connor. More like a convineance hook up. But they kinda muddled through and I coped, but I di...

I bought the published version and at $2.99 for about 95000 words it is definitely a great buy. But I am also a little torn on how I feel about this story. I think it's because I feel so protective and care so much about Connor, that I want the absolute best for him, and I'm just not sure if this is...

I'd give this three stars if it weren't for one thing: Veronica. :(The first half of the book she's presented as the stereotypical 'skank'. The narrative paints her horribly, which is such a overdone and tasteless trope, especially in gay fiction. Then in the second half of the book she's going off ...

PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!I am extremely picky about YA reads because they usually bore me but I loved this one! Wow, I can't believe how much I enjoyed reading about Connor and Jared! Also, there are quite a few sex scenes, but not too graphic, so I am not sure it's totally YA, but it satisf...

3.5 starsThe title is really apt in this sweet, gently-moving, coming-of-age story. Connor is a freshman in college and feeling the strain of being a painfully shy and socially awkward kind of guy. He needs some “social skills,” and fast. He longs for friends yet finds it difficult to connect with h...

3.5 stars. Good book about Conner coming out of his shell. I wasn't too sure about Jared throughout most of the book, but I'm glad Conner got his HEA. I'm looking forward to see what else this author publishes.

Finally it's over! There are so many things I disliked about this book, starting with Jared, the love interest. He was such a selfish asshole! I just don't get how Connor could fall for him. I did not believe in their relationship one minute! From the start I could not see any chemistry between them....
