I don't know if it was nostalgia or what, but I liked this book better than I did the first time. I think that I had a bit more understanding about Laurel this time around and so I wasn't as hard on her. Del is still the knight in shining armor that I thought he was the first time and his proposal...
This has to be my favorite book in this series so far (I'm expecting to love Parker's book, Happy Ever After even more). I'm glad that the drama wasn't based on someone's commitment issues in this one (it would have gotten really old really fast if it had been). I'm not surprised that the drama came...
I finished reading this book within hours. Just like the others in the series the book was charming and light-hearted. It is a happy novel about friendship and love.I loved the scenes with scarey Linda and Mal has had my vote since his first appearance.
Laurel has known Delaney for almost her whole life. He has treated her like a little sister, but she wants more. Del sees Laurel as more, but there is a certain code of honor he feels he must maintain. When push comes to shove, sparks ignite. A nice story.
I had almost given up on this series as the second book in the series, Bed of Roses was a 2-star read mostly because I thought it was a bit dull. I enjoyed this one more than I thought I would. It doesn't exactly set the world on fire in the sense of excitement, but it does a better job of keeping...
This was better than the second one, but only because of Del. Laurel was such a bitch most of the time I couldn't figure out what he found attractive about her!
I would have given these all 4 stars, but the drama, or "fight" in the books have all been crazy insecurities rather than real issues. I do like that it's not the typical near death experience that finally gets the couple together, but the girls just sound crazy when they go nuts over the things the...
2 1/1 starsI don't think I liked this much as the second book in the series though it was still enjoyable. Laurel is an interesting character. She's different than the other women. I think she's a bit darker and more cynical. Del is a good guy and I like seeing their relationship develop. I think th...
I keep reading the next one in the series thinking it's going to follow the same format. They fall in love, there is an issue, then they make up and get engaged. It does kind of follow that, but the way she winds it differently with the issue and who is involved in the issue. I can't wait to read th...
And yet another Nora Roberts winner in this amazing series. And this time, though it still revolved around the friendship between Mac, Emma, Laurel and Parker, the story was mostly about the romance between life-long friends. Yes, you’d think it was pretty much the same as in Bed of Roses, between E...
