I liked it. There are still a few plot threads left at the end of the story, and I wonder if the author is planning on covering some of them in the next set of books.

I hated the end. Cal's death was unnecessary. It was just a way of getting rid of the love triangle, and avoiding Sophie the trouble of choosing between him and Archer. Plus, his death wasn't properly mourned. No one ever talked about it afterwards, except for Sophie reliving his death in her nightm...

I have mixed feelings on Spell Bound. On one hand, it was just as funny as the earlier books, and it wrapped up the series fairly well.
