This story was very good (or at least compared to the other YA books I've read lately). There were a few moments where the author has the lead doing stuff out of character that really irked me, but overall a good book. I will read the sequel. As long as the lead doesn't agree to do menial grunt work...

I always have the hardest time finding books about witches that I really like. This book is tied as my favorite witch series as Hex Hall. Complete with a swoony guy and a fearless heroine, this book and this author are rockstars. After tragedy strikes Emma’s family over and over again, she moves in w...

Read in preparation for Spellcaster ARC. Easy to read, but there's not a lot of witchery in there, mostly just girl obsessing over a boy obsessing over a girl obsessing––you get the picture. I can see this being a guilty pleasure, but I'm having trouble believing it could be anything else.

I was excited about this book from the moment I first heard about it. Hi, totally drawn to just about anything of the paranormal and mystical spellbound variety, add in a bit of an historical feel to it and you've definitely got my interest piqued. There's a forbidden sense of wonder in something da...

Put them together and you get Spellbound - a really really good read - despite what the summary would have you believe.Brendan is another of the YA boys who is irresistible. He prompted...

Look, guys. If for any reason you should ever find yourselves questioning how much I heart each one of you, I’d like you to step back and remember that I read this book so that you didn’t have to. There was a little review-y blurb at the beginning that said something like this book would do for wi...

When I started reading this book, I thought “ok, this is starting out like 3 other YA books that I’ve read”. Teenage girl with a somewhat traumatic life, shipped off to another school where she meets a boy who has her mesmerized. Even though I was tempted to stop reading this, thinking this was go...

I'm not sure why I waited so long to read this one. I even had the option of reading it ahead of time way back when, and never got around to it. Big mistake. I absolutely loved this book from the very beginning. And, it really boggles me that this book has such mixed reviews because I think it's a c...

Originally reviewed on Book Brats!SPELLBOUND came recommended to me by a blogging friend– a fun story with the right mix of paranormal and romance. Or something like that, I can’t honestly remember. I’ve had it on my Kindle for months so I decided to open it up and read. To describe my experience in...
