seemed like forever to get through these four steamy stories ... 1st - disliked each other until last few pages, 2nd - too much time pondering feelings, 3rd - he fought against his feelings until last couple pages, 4th - too much time describing things

I enjoy Susan Johnson stories which are very sensual. This one was good with lots of action and their love is tested but I prefer her historical novels.

I like all Susan Johnson books (hot). Many didn't like this book because of hero’s sleeping around. To me it’s believable aristocratic behavior (& sensual) for the time period. What I liked was the heroine’s character and hero’s groveling.
