One of the best post-apocalyptic sci-fi novels I have read. I would recommend this book whole heartedly to anyone who likes this genre. I have read this book twice and, I am sure, will read it again.

Here's the bottom line: Swan Song is one of my favorite books of all time. It stills impacts me every bit as much as the first time I read it.Swan Song is very dark, and it's scary, but it's also one of the most beautiful and hopeful books I have ever read.Weighing in at 956 pages, it's a huge story...

This book was a good reminder that I don't like this genre of books or the writing style. I'll leave it at that.

One of the best apocalyptic novels ever written, on par with King's "The Stand" but I think I may like this one even better. I read this in my early 20's and really should read it again but it's so long it intimidates me now.

This is the book that got me back into reading after taking a break for a few years. It happened to be lying around the house and I picked it up. Haven't stopped since!

Took me a bit to finish this one. I'm sure at the time this was written that it held more appeal. I found it to be a bit tedious at times so I skimmed starting at pg 400 or so. Especially when Roland and Mack were on the scene. Just a "somewhat good" read.

Thankfully, this was a fast-paced read, considering it was nearly 1000 pages in paperback. Although grim, it was very entertaining. The supernatural antagonist seemed a bit weak. His efforts seemed to be too easily thwarted by the heroes, at times. He also seemed to have abilities later in the book ...

In this epic novel, after the world is devastated by a nuclear apocalypse, a group of survivors travel to find a town in Missouri that might offer a new beginning. One of them, a young girl named Swan, might hold the key to mankind's salvation! This is an exciting and addictive book! It's got great...
