Fight
Honey Do Me (Nights In New York, #4) - Tara Starr

This book #4, in the Nights In New York series.  This title can be read as a standalone novel.  For readers enjoyment and to understand the series better, I recommend reading this series in order.

Carter is a sexy, self-aware billionaire.  He knows his assets and how to show them off.  Now being bothered by the hot enemy has made a bit of a issue for his company.  Becca and her kind are going to cost him millions.

Becca hates all Billionaires.  It is never personal.  It's all about making the money spread around further.  Carter cannot stand that thought.  What he really wants is Becca and he considers H-O-T!

Surprises are in store for the reader with this book that right from the very beginning is sexy and steaming with these enemies fighting hard.  This makes for a very fast paced read.  These characters are hot and the sparks are more than flying - they're catching all of us on fire too!  Excellent addition to the series.  I give this a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Book Tour - Unlucky in Love

Unlucky in Love
A.J. Renee

Publication date: January 30th 2019
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance

Lucky in Love.

That’s the name of the dating app I picked, hoping to find Mr. Better Than Average so I can hold off planning my future as a cat lady.

I’ve been distracted eyeballing a tall, dark, and handsome Latin hottie who works in the library with me. He is way out of my league, and a woman has needs if you know what I mean.

Finding a man shouldn’t be hard when all I have to do is swipe left or right. It’ll weed out the slimy men who have Bad Date written all over them.

Yeah, I’m learning quickly that I’m rather unlucky in love after all. The men I pick need warning labels, kissing lessons, and a good talking-to about manners.

Should I throw in the towel, or will this series of bad dates be exactly what I need to win Mr. Right?

KITTY'S BOOK SPOT!

Author Interview with Author, A.J. Renee

  1. What was your favorite book in your youth?

I loved reading the Babysitter’s Club.

  1. Do you write to music or make music playlists for your works?

It depends on my mood. I created my first playlist for Unlucky in Love.

  1. Your degrees and education are quite impressive. What started the urge to write?

Thanks. I’ve always had a creative streak but never imagined I’d be a writer. My best friend passed suddenly, and a story popped in my head that wouldn’t shut up until I wrote it. Widower’s Aura was the product of my grief and it set me on my current path.

  1. What are you hoping your writing/this book will impress upon your readers?

Unlucky in Love is about hope. Izzy left the dating game and decides to give things a try again. The outcome isn’t what she expects and just as she considers giving up she’s surprised. Life is full of surprises. You don’t always find love where you expect it or when you want it. Don’t lose hope.

  1. Will you share something with our readers that you have never shared with anyone else?

I’m a pretty open person so this is hard! Not a clever fact but no one knows… Izzy’s boss in Unlucky in Love was inspired by my old boss doing that same job.

  1. Do you have another genre you want to write but have not tried yet?

I love reading romance novels, so I don’t see myself leaving the genre as a writer. Maybe one day an idea will form for a novel in Horror?

  1. What most influences your books?

Life. People I meet or see spurn the ideas. Sometimes out on a run something will come out of nowhere and I’m forced to stop and jot it down in my phone.

  1. Where is a fan best to find you online?

I’m on a variety of social media, but I’m the most active on Facebook or my reader group, St. Fleur Belles.

Author Bio:

AJ Renee is the author behind the St. Fleur series, Beauty Unmasked, Winter’s Surprise, Surviving Paris, and Finding Love at the Falls…. She’s a military wife and mother to three young girls. She graduated from the University of Central Florida with her Master of Science in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology while working at the library.

She loves to write steamy romance with suspense and a happily ever after. When she isn’t writing or interacting with her readers, you can find her spending time with her family or reading. AJ enjoys traveling, researching family history, and all things New Orleans.

Click Clack Moo Cows That Type
Click Clack Moo: Cows That Type - Doreen Cronin,Betsy Lewin

This is a silly fiction book that is popular in today's schools. When farmer Brown isn't meeting his cows needs, they learn to type so they can communicate with him! Before he knows it, the cows are typing farmer Brown letters! Farmer Brown can't believe it, can you? Farmer Brown doesn't like his cows "bossing" him around and refuses to help them. So what do the cows do? They go on strike!

How would I use this book in my classroom?

I would ask my students to pretend that they are one of farmer Browns cows. I would ask them to write farmer Brown a letter requesting something that they think they will need and why they need it. This would be a fun interactive activity!

Inside A House That Is Haunted
Scholastic Reader Level 2: Inside a House That is Haunted - Alyssa Satin Capucilli

This would be a great book to read to your elementary school class during Halloween! You can find several read along online that sing along to the book. It is a rhyming story that builds with each line, getting funnier and funnier each time. As you read the book, you are meet with rhymes that describe a chain reaction. Someone knocks on a haunted door and eventually it scares the haunting ghosts! I can't wait to read this book during a prediction lesson!

How would I use this book in my classroom:

I would love to use this book during a lesson taught on or around Halloween since it is a kid friendly book that I believe wouldn't be scary to any students since it is so silly.

Mrs. Thomas' Favorite Books
The Day the Crayons Quit - Drew Daywalt,Oliver Jeffers

Duncan just wants to color, but when he opens his box of crayons, he finds only letters.  The letters are hilarious and from his crayons. They all quit! Duncan finds a solution for them all to be happy.

Lexile Measure: AD730L

I would use this in the classroom with a writing/coloring activity. There would be pictures of all of the crayons and the students would trace the names of each color and then color the crayon the correct color.
