Twelve Steps - Veronica Bartles

Living in the shadow of your older sibling can be hard, especially when they are practically perfect.

Andi just wants everyone to see her for who she is, not Laina’s little sister. She is impulsive, and out there. She goes out of her way to be the exact opposite of Laina. Both Andi and Laina have so much to learn. They spend so much time wanting to be different that they don’t see how great they are.

I love how much Andi and Laina grow throughout this book. They don’t realize how much they need each other. But I love when they spend time together. I was giggling so much. Their girl’s night toward the beginning was so much fun. I think Andi tortures herself when it comes to her crush. She tries to make there be something when she should just leave it alone.

Twelve steps is a fun story about sisters, bonding, boys, and how to be comfortable with yourself.

#16thingsithoughtweretrue - Janet Gurtler

I loved the journey the characters went through in this book. They all learn something, and how things aren’t always as they appear.

There were times that Morgan drove me nuts. She doesn’t have many friends, except online, and thinks the Twitter follower number is all that matters. Morgan is forced to interact with actual people, and she doesn’t really know what to do. I love the secondary characters, Amy and Adam. Amy never has a problem filling the silence, and Adam is not the person Morgan thinks he is. He may actually be fun.

I really enjoyed how Morgan works through her awkwardness interacting with actual people. She goes through so many things in this book, and I think she comes out a stronger person because of it. There were parts where I was laughing out loud, crying, and grinning from the joy shown by the characters.

16 Things I Thought Were True is a great coming of age story, and shows that many times your followers aren’t the people that will be there to help you through a rough patch.

Blog Tour: Flawed Perfection by Cassandra Giovanni
Flawed Perfection - Cassandra Giovanni

I finished this book in a few hours! I could not put it down, and I so want more of this series.

I really like River. She’s personable, and tries her hardest not to lead anyone on. She’s a great friend to both Bobby and Adam. She’s also very dedicated to her job. Both Bobby and Adam have great things about them, but Bobby grated on my nerves. He could be a complete ass at times.

Time seems to fly by while reading because you get sucked into the story. There aren’t really any characters I despised, well maybe a few. They are completely rotten on the inside, and I don’t see how they could say the things they say. I’ll let you figure out who it is when you read it. Anyways, all the events early on in the book lead to one outcome. It seems like everyone knows how River and Adam feel except for them. I loved seeing the realization progress.

The ending is definitely a cliffhanger. It’s insanely emotional, and I need the next book!

Blog Tour: Passional Persuasion by Rosemary Clement-Moore
Passionate Persuasion - Rosemary Clement-Moore

This was such a fun read. Kiara and Alex haven’t seen each other in 8 years, and when they finally do, it’s hard to resist the spark between them.

The romance between Kiara and Alex is sweet, and I love that the past doesn’t hinder the events between them. I love the pacing also. They tap dance around each other to try to keep things from being weird. I have to say the first chapter is definitely my favorite. Such a great opener.

If you’re wanting a sweet romance that has great chemistry, you should definitely try this novella.
