These are all by authors I like.

3. 2019 Debut You Are Most Anticipating?

Surprisingly, there are only two debuts that are really standing out for me at the moment. I'm sure more will pop onto my radar as the year goes.

5. One Thing You Hope To Accomplish Or Do In Your Reading/Blogging Life In 2019?

I'm going to go with the same thing I said last year. I want to work on reading my physical books because they've piled up. I didn't buy as much in 2018 as in previous years, but I still bought more than I read of my physical books. The pile needs to go down.

1. Best Book You Read In 2018?

 This is always a tough one to choose, but I think I'm going to have to go with A False Report simply because it stuck with me the longest. And it just felt like an important book with some of the things going on this year.

2. Book You Were Excited About & Thought You Were Going To Love More But Didn’t?

I was so sure I would love every single one of these. I did not. Some I merely liked. Some I outright disliked.

3. Most surprising (in a good way or bad way) book you read?  

This book was a surprise in the best way, but the surprise is a major spoiler, so I'm not saying more.

 4. Book You “Pushed” The Most People To Read (And They Did)?

My book "pushing" has really just been handing books to people and telling them to read them because they will laugh. I only do it to a handful of people though.

 5. Best series you started in 2018?

There were a number of great starts to series. These were my favorites.

Best Sequel of 2018?

My favorite sequels either greatly improved upon previous installments or just continued at the same level of quality in the case of the Goldie Vance series.

Best Series Ender of 2018?

All of these books wound up being my favorite book in their respective series. Each of these series got better with each book and ended strong.

 6. Favorite new author you discovered in 2018?

 I read 2 of Ibi Zoboi's books this year and have 2 anthologies that she's a part of on my TBR.

I'd never actually read any of Tessa Dare's books before 2018. I changed that this year by reading 4 of her books. I intend to read more of her work because her romances are right up my alley.

7. Best book from a genre you don’t typically read/was out of your comfort zone?

I'm not a big poetry person. It's just not my thing and is often a miss for me when I do try it. But I loved this.

8. Most action-packed/thrilling/unputdownable book of the year?

These were the books of 2018 that I couldn't put down. When life forced me to put them down, I was constantly wondering when I would be able to get back to them.

9. Book You Read In 2018 That You Would Be MOST Likely To Re-Read Next Year?

It's these romances that I'm most likely to reread in 2019. Especially since I own 3 out of 4 of these. I might have to make it all 4.

10. Favorite cover of a book you read in 2018?

I had a hard time narrowing it down from so many covers. I got it down to 22 and gave up trying to cut it down any more.

11. Most memorable character of 2018?

 It has to be Evelyn Hugo of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. I read her story in March and still keep thinking about her.

12. Most beautifully written book read in 2018?

Not That Bad was a powerful anthology of essays about rape culture and what it's like to live in it.

13. Most Thought-Provoking/ Life-Changing Book of 2018?

I read a number of books that made me think on various issues, but I'm going to go with these two books for highlighting topics I had less familiarity with - the US justice system's injustices.

14. Book you can’t believe you waited UNTIL 2018 to finally read? 

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland has been on my TBR for over a decade. I can't believe it took me this long to get around to it, but I finally knocked it off my list.

I'm going to have to pass. I just don't recall any.

(Because of a plot twist, character death, left you hanging with your mouth wide open, etc.)

 I was not expecting the very end, particularly how it was portrayed. It was not a good surprise.

It was a really good year for authors I'd read (and loved) before. All of these authors delivered books that were perfect for me.

I didn't even know this book existed until I was told to read it by someone who knows my taste in books and said I'd love it. They were right.

23. Best 2018 debut you read?

 It's a tie for best 2018 debuts for me. Both are YA. Everless is a fantasy that was published right at the beginning of the year, while Darius the Great is Not Okay is a contemporary that was published in August.

24. Best Worldbuilding/Most Vivid Setting You Read This Year?

Everless is set in a world where time is literally money and can be taken from a person through one's blood to shorten one's life. The book did a good job of showing how it all worked and exploring how it would affect people.

25. Book That Put A Smile On Your Face/Was The Most FUN To Read?

The first book is for just being so cute; the second book is for being hilarious.

26. Book That Made You Cry Or Nearly Cry in 2018?

It's a book dealing with depression - both the main character's and his father's. I definitely teared up.

27. Hidden Gem Of The Year?

 My favorite read that no one knows.

28. Book That Crushed Your Soul?

I laughed while reading this, but only because my soul was also being crushed by the fact that it actually happened.

29. Most Unique Book You Read In 2018?

None of my other books included fake mustaches. This one had multiple.

 Hello books about injustices in the world. You were all good books, but you also made me very mad at the things that have happened or are still happening.
