Reading progress update: I've read 10%.
3D Printer Robot Car: The Next 10,000 Days - Howard Cohen

"Fortunately, we have retained enough of our humanity so we still have hypocrisy."

Y'know what, I'd have to spoil the ending of the story but it gets worse.   May have to rage quit right now.

Reading progress update: I've read 8%.
3D Printer Robot Car: The Next 10,000 Days - Howard Cohen

"The widespread deployment of 3D printer robot cars quickly led to the expected consequence of closing down all factories and warehouses and eliminating all manufacturing jobs, all warehousing jobs, all delivery jobs, and all jobs in general, because, with 3D printer robot cars, you just call one up and tell it what you want and it just prints it out on the way over and, by the time it gets to your house, it's finished churning out your gun or boat or refrigerator or meal or drug or whatever."

I didn't even realize this was one sentence until i went back to highlight it to remember it while I ate dinner.   Then I went back and was like O_O

What caught my attention originally was a 3D printer prints you out drugs.   Drugs guys.   I mean, don't printers usually use paper?   So is this paper based drugs?   What the fuck?

Then I got caught up on the fact that you can get guns and drugs delivered to your house, with nary a mention of any background check.   Yeah, this seems both legit and safe.

And then when typing this up I realized it fell into the 'I can't use a comma so I'll put it behind the and instead of in front of it' trap.   Ugh.  There is so much wrong with this sentence.

And no, I didn't try to punish myself.  I really thought something about 3D printer robot cars was going to be amazing.   Oh, books, why do you get my hopes up only to give me this kind of fuckery?

Superjuffie komt in actie! - Janneke Schotveld,Annet Schaap

Makers: The New Industrial Revolution - Chris Anderson

Great book about forthcoming industrial revolution. Chris Anderson described historical aspects of it and added much more about current Makers movement including adventures with his family. If you would like to know more about fast changing China (very small batches of products can be delivered to almost any adress even private persons) and creating successful internet startup you should definitely read it! The lack of 5th star is caused only because I thought it would contain more links to websites concerning personal fabrication (3d printing).

If you want to know more about it check following websites:

In my humble opinion four the most interesting videos concerning 3d printing:
