This is one of the best book I have read that touched on such a difficult subject with a child.
Instead of treating a child with fluffy stuff, it takes the child seriously and see reality with the child in mind. It is a scary book not because of the monster, but because of the inevitability of the cruel reality.
Now there is a movie based on this book.
So looking forward to this.
