The Royal Governess: A Sweet Contemporary Royal Romance by Barbara Lohr
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
The beauty of Barbara Lohr is that she puts her heart into every story that she writes. With a healing dose of common sense and the gift of imagination, she gives emotions quite a workout. Christina and Marco are the sweetest blend of hopefulness and empathy. The life lessons have not always been kind, but fate has some surprises waiting just around the bend. The Royal Governess is a human journey. It proves that even in our worst moments a little faith can go a long way.
Lohr proves the old adage that sometimes less can deliver more than a heart could ever have hoped for. Christmas with Dr. Darling takes the simple approach when it comes to stealing a heart. Derek and Victoria bring value to a sentiment that seems to be easily forgotten. Happiness lies in giving, not receiving. There's a ton of heart waiting to be discovered inside of this beautiful life lesson.
Marry Me, Jackson is romance for the soul. Emily and Jackson are more sweet than sexy, but for me that made the connection a deeper one. Lohr delves into the emotions that we tend to gloss over. Love is more than the physical. It's emotional. These characters aim for the heart and score a direct hit.
