Hey! God, Was That You?: Coincidences from Over Five Thousand Hours of Flight and Forty-Four Years
Hey! God, Was That You?: Coincidences fr... Hey! God, Was That You?: Coincidences from Over Five Thousand Hours of Flight and Forty-Four Years - Ron Gluck * I received a digital copy from the publisher for review. This does not affect my review.*

I'll admit, I haven't heard of this author before, and likely wouldn't have read this book if it hadn't been offered to me fore review. That said, I was impressed and ended up enjoying this story. In a way, it reminded me of the missionary, Jim Elliot, who also went by plane to reach indigenous peoples for Christ. Yes, I know it's not the same, but then again, both reached out to people who needed to know Jesus, and were willing to risk it all to spread light in the darkness. Ron Gluck talks about being blessed that he was able to fly accident free over and over again. At any point, something could have happened, and yet he chose to place his trust in God, giving Him the glory.

What is synchronicity?
Synchronicity: Empower Your Life with the Gift of Coincidence - Chris Mackey

I don't know what to do. My title is Sychronicity: Empower You Life with the Gift of Confidence. Any advice?

Excerpt:

..as the 'simultaneous occurrence of two meaningfully but casually connected events.' More broadly, the word can refer to any uncanny and meaningful coincidence that connects our inner and outer worlds, in a manner that suggests that our inner life and outer reality are somehow more synchronized than we might previously have imagined.

Something neat (true?):

...in Winnipeg, Canada. A grandfather clock stopped when it's 72-year-old owner died. There was no male heir to pass it on to, following traditional practice. Several years later the man's widow noticed that the clock had inexplicably started again. Moments afterwards, she recieved a phone call announcing that her first grandson had been born 15 minutes earlier.

Coincidences, Chaos, and All That Math Jazz: Making Light of Weighty Ideas - Edward B. Burger,Michael Starbird Oooh, so close.
I wanted this book to be better than it is. It's a fine book, but I had, perhaps, unrealistic expectations. It introduces non-maths types to various mathematical concepts (chaos, infinity, etc.) in a way that is very accessible. But then it sort of dumps us there - "whee! wasn't that fun?!" I would have much preferred that it go a bit deeper. But it's probably quite good for those who have no interest in math to begin with.

Coincidences
Coincidences - Maria Savva Nearly made it 4 stars. Loved the story but I prefer a less direct style of story-telling. I like to be shown feelings and emotions rather than be told.
