This is the last book of a four books series and i exceptionally enjoyed reading this book the most. Kami and Margaret wrote Beautiful Redemption a bit differently this time. Beautiful Redemption is broken into 3 main sections, the first and last being in Ethan's point of view and the second being in Lena's point of view. Although it was really weird to read Lena's point of view after getting so used to Ethan's point of view in the first few books.
As per usual, the first few chapters were way too slow and boing but i do not mind because what introductions do are to introduce the new details slowly. I personally got a little confused with Ethan's conflicted feelings about being a Sheer at the Otherworld and leaving Lena behind at Gatlin. He was happy as he reunited with his mother but whenever it came to Lena, Ethan just completely forget about the reunion he had with his mother. It could just be me because i am a very family oriented person. Fortunately, when Ethan finally found our from Obidias that he wasn't supposed to die at all, the story got interesting and the fun had arrived.
Another thing that confused me while reading the story was the time difference... I understood that the Otherworld had no time and whatnot but it can still get really confusing at times. Especially when Ethan used the crossword puzzle to ask Lena for her riverstone, he had just finished creating the crossword puzzle and when he went back home, there it was sitting on the doorstep of his Otherworld home.
On the bright side, Beautiful Redemption started off well and ended off well. I just could not get over the fact that Xavier – the gatekeeper – would forget Ethan when Ethan finally die of old age. This is a very upsetting part purely because Xavier was so nice to Ethan and he wouldn't remember Ethan after a while. Beautiful Redemption does not really have a happy ending since Amma passed on too but it's a beautiful story.

Ethan Lawson Wate: His sarcasm in Beautiful Redemption was one of the best thing that happened in the book. Even though he had always been brave ever since the first book, but i could actually see a braver Ethan in the last book. He dared to show his sarcasm to everybody including Charlie (The River Master), Xavier (The Gatekeeper), a Keeper when he finally entered through the gates, Sarafine Duchannes and even Angelus. That, my friend, is true bravery because everybody knows sarcasm can get you into some serious trouble most of the time.
Lena Duchannes: I'm so happy that my home girl did not drop into depressed mode and get all gothic and emo again like when Macon died back in Beautiful Darkness. She was strong, like the Natural caster she was supposed to be. She even dared to raid Abraham's place and rescue Ridley, and not to forget, to go up against Abraham for The Book of Moons knowing very well that it will not end well. This last book in the series has almost everyone becoming stronger and braver.

Favourite: Any part that has Xavier in it, Xavier is one of the best characters in the entire series. How can someone so good be treated so badly? I cannot express my annoyance for Xavier for the way he was treated and my love for his character.
Least favourite: Amma's death, period.
