Freeing Asia (Breaking Free, #1)
Freeing Asia (Breaking Free, #1) - E.M. ... Freeing Asia (Breaking Free, #1) - E.M. Abel This is a beautiful story of falling in love the first time, finding oneself and growing up.

Asia grow up a tomboy with her 2 older brothers and father. Fed up of always being one of the guys, she wants to change and find herself and fall in love "again". Again being her fist love is Marcus, her brothers best friend. Then she met Jay.

Jay is the son of a multimillionaire. Once a bad boy, turned his life around for his parents and is now concentrating on following his fathers footsteps.

While Jay is all country club person, Asia is more the torn jeans and flip flaps. But she is willing to change for Jay, but is it enough? Will it make her happy? And then Marcus is back!

I love the characters in this book, they are not written in exaggeration. Asia's character is all natural reactions in falling in love, learning and moving on... none of those characters that makes you question why they start hating the guy for no reason when they feel the opposite, no no... you will fall in love and you will have your heart broken and fall in love again...

I love Jay, he was perfect till he changed...... But you shouldn't change the person for who they are, but love them the way they are. And I'm glad he realized that.

Now, Marcus and Asia together is sooo much fun!!!! They are meant to be... They have a history, they grow up together, they are family. And the attraction is always there no matter how they deny it. I love love love them.

Then you're going to love Shaun too, Asia's brother, who is such a bad boy, a player.... I can't wait to read his story!

This is definitely beautiful written... on Asia's POV.

It's funny, heartbreaking, romantic with a little twist of suspense towards the end!

Freeing Asia
Freeing Asia - E.M. Abel Check-list de una mala historia de amor:

Clichés. ✓

Triangulo amoroso. ✓

Mala escritura. ✓

Relación amorosa no saludable. ✓

Sexy-times aburridos. ✓

Protagonista infantil y tonta. La típica i'm-hot-as-hell-but-i-don't-know it.

Hombres que van por allí acostándose con todo lo que camine pero creen que tienen el derecho a juzgar a las mujeres que hacen lo mismo. Porque, ey, los hombres promiscuos son sexys, pero las mujeres promiscuas son prostitutas. ✓✓✓

Freeing Asia by E.M. Abel
Freeing Asia - E.M. Abel

I don't think I've ever read a book that had like 4 endings before... I think that's it and turn the page and there's more.

It felt like this was written by a 15 year old that's never actually lived a life, but thinks this is how it is after having watched 20 movies.

The rich guy does not buy you a ruby ring after having dated you for 2 weeks.

Not bad. Not bad at all.
Freeing Asia - E.M. Abel

I'm not really a fan of love triangles or characters with low self-esteem who get magically delicious makeovers, and this book had both (kind of... not really) and then some.  However, the author managed to hook me in after the first few chapters of me thinking "Oh, God, I hope this gets better" since it started with a lot of telling not showing.  In the context of all these tropes, the foundation of the story is actually the journey to self discovery the main character goes through.  There's a nice mix of humor, sweet, hot as hell, and throat tightening moments throughout the story.  After all the duds I've been reading, this book was a welcome change from the sea of underdeveloped characters and underdeveloped plots I've been doggy paddling through.  I will be keeping an eye out for the next book from this author.

Thanks for the rec, Miss!

Freeing Asia - E.M. Abel

Freeing Asia was my random pick of the week. Never heard of it, had no clue who the author was, didn't even read the sample. On occasion (meaning frequently) my random pick turns on me making me question why I even bother reading at all. I'm happy to say that Freeing Asia didn't make me question my love for reading :)

Due to the fact that this book is written by a new author I'm willing to overlook just a little bit more than I would for a well established author. The first half of the book felt like it was crowded with too many details that weren't important to the story. Filler material about the h's work day etc. The h was a bit immature at times but she's only 24 so I can deal if it's not too excessive.

Aside from that the overall story kept me interested, the sex scenes were hot, and I loved the heroines love interest.

Well written with no cliffhanger.
