Hayden is shot by a woman who wants to be his wife. Sophia is his nurse. They are at odds from the beginning on his treatment. He suggests a bet that she will not stay 10 days. And they are off.

I enjoyed this story. Hayden and Sophia are well developed characters. At times they are funny as they fight about his treatment. I am glad that they learned to communicate and tell the truth rather than keep secrets. Both have secrets that weigh them down with guilt. Celia, Hayden's daughter, is a doll. I liked the acceptance both find with the other and within the family.

This is a good set up for the series, Infamous Lords. I look forward to more of the books

TEXAS MAIL ORDER BRIDE by Linda Broday

	Good historical romance with lots of action and adventure as someone from Cooper's past returns to kill him as well as the love of his life, Delta. I enjoyed this story. Watching Delta fitting in to the town of Battle Creek, TX, and Cooper's life was refreshing. She brought her hopes and dreams from her past and was able to live them in Battle Creek. Cooper wanted to forget his past and let it lie in the past but it takes Delta to show him the way to accept the past and know it does not have to Good historical romance with lots of action and adventure as someone from Cooper's past returns to kill him as well as the love of his life, Delta. I loved the two of them as they battled their demons, past and present. I liked this town and the townspeople. Delta's influence is strong as is her love for her new town. She helps so many through her acceptance of them and her helping hand to them. I look forward to reading the other books in the series. Very enjoyable!

	Padua is looking for a barrister to defend her father against treason charges. She goes to Ives who has been tapped for the prosecution. She must decide how best to save her father. I liked these characters especially Padua. She is smart and willing to do what she must to save her father. Ives is attracted and throws caution away to help her even if it embroils him in a scandal. They find out the truth. This is a good story for the series. I cannot wait for the last book of the trilogy.

	The feel good story of Alice and Rhys. She is in trouble over an inheritance. Alice has some special abilities that could cause her problems. Rhys is asked by his uncle to help her with the lawsuit against her. He wants to help her especially after he meets her. I like her feistiness. Alice is not meek and missish. Rhys accepts her as she is. These are great characters that I love. The secondary characters are also good.

	Finally a heroine who knows what she wants and goes after him! I loved Felicity. She is feisty and spirited as well as compassionate. Jason could have used a few kicks in the behind for letting Felicity stay single for so long especially as she is now a young woman of fortune on the death of her great-aunt with no family near. Jason does play the system so well that he could have lost her to another suitor if Felicity had not made up her mind that it was Jason or no one. I was drawn in by the st Finally a heroine who knows what she wants and goes after him! I loved Felicity. She is feisty and spirited as well as compassionate.
