Cover Reveal: Indelible Ink by Matt Betts
Indelible Ink - Matt Betts

It’s What’s Inside That Counts

Something lurks inside Deena Riordan. She never once questioned her life in the criminal underworld as the star of Mr. Marsh’s illegal empire and his youngest assassin. Her ruthless demeanor and dark magical powers have kept her at the top of the heap for years. But one day she pushes the sorcery too far and something snaps. Only then does Deena realize she’s always been a puppet of that dark power with no true will of her own.

Now, in order to get out of the crime business for good, she needs to save her sister from Marsh’s angry clutches. It won’t be easy. She’ll have to make her way through friends turned foes, dodge determined federal agents, and stay out of a particularly stubborn fellow hitman’s sights. Worst of all, Deena will have to wrestle with the darkness inside to keep it from swallowing her up again.

Indelible Marks
Indelible Marks - billtheradish OMG! Is there some sort of certificate of completion to showcase my sense of accomplishment?? I'm definitely needing a pat on the back for sure!

All joking aside I really did enjoy this book.  As I look back on the 70 plus Stereks I've read, what stands out for a lot of us is our desire to see things more played out.  I've said before that I've always appreciated the fics or stories that actually depict the daily lives of couples - and make no mistake - this is it.  It is the day by day progress of meeting someone, becoming aware of him, falling for him, negotiating the steps on how to be with him.

Of course being 800 plus pages, this is not surprisingly long on exposition and at times quite repetitive.  But it's not simply a cataloguing of events.  It's a sensory exploration from Derek's POV and how much his wolf is a part of him. It's also definitely the most extensive commentary on pack life/dynamics I have come across yet.

Overall I guess the take away message is that this is a very, very romantic telling of how these two fall in love and become mates. That through their bond, their connection to each other was quite amazing. There's no question as to who they belong to and that was beautiful to be a part of.

"All he could smell was Stiles, all he could hear was Stiles, all he could feel was Stiles, belonged to Stiles, was because of Stiles."

This is the next journey for Tori Farrell.

Tori has returned to her small home in Texas. A lot has changed there while she was away taking care of the business the feds had for her to do.

Tori has come back to her brother Brian and his band mates staying at her place with Michael her husband. The band decides to head out but Brian stays with hopes of getting to know his sister.

Things are finally following into place for Tori. She and Michael have moved into Marge’s house to help her out as she is dying. She had wished her husband had not made this arrangement but in the end it turned out to be a good thing.

So many things happen in this book it had me smiling, laughing and overjoyed for Tori but then the ball crashes..
This poor girl doesn't seem to get any breaks in life that are sealed and permanent.

But I think after reading this book she may have finally found a much better life than the one she has known.

I have immensely enjoyed following Tori’s life through this series and I can not wait for the next book.

Pickup your copy and find out what is going on in Tori’s life in this installment

Indelible by Heather Ames
Indelible - Heather Ames

On what's supposed to be the biggest night of her life, Kaylen suffers a memory lapse and wakes up in bed with a strange man. This turn of events leads her down a dangerous path involving drug cartels and crooked police, all this while a hurricane bears down on Miami.

Indelible is a tight, solid story. I haven't read a suspense in a while, and I enjoyed this one.
