"Crazy For You" by Rachel Lacey

My Viewpoint....

This novel was the second in this series 'Risking It All' that featured Emma Rush and bad boy Ryan Blake ['had tattoos, a motorcycle, and enough round-round-the edges sexiness...'] that was simply one good read. I enjoyed it from the first page and yes it was quite a yummy one as this author can only give to her readers. We find that Emma and Ryan had always had that something for each other since childhood, especially Emma. We find Emma is wanting to shake things up in her boring life and who would she pick ...no other than Ryan...her longtime friend to help her do it. All I can say is wow, this will be one hot sexy read for their chemistry is off the chart.

Now they were grown and the only thing that seemed to hold Ryan back was his promise he had made to his friend Derek [Emma's brother and his best friend] who had died while serving in Afghanistan that he 'would protect her [Emma] from everything --including himself.' Now, how was he able to get over this hurdle without jeopardizing a long time friendship? What will happen as Emma is wanting something more in her life and that would involve Ryan? Will Ryan be willing to give her what she wants? Will there be a time limit on this decision and will it work for them? To find out about it all you will have to pick up this good contemporary romance and see how well this author bring it all out to the reader.

The characters were all well developed, portrayed and believable giving one a read that you will not want to put down until the end. To have friends like: Emma, Ryan, Ethan, Mark, Gabby, Carly Mandy, Trent and Jessica only will leave you saying wow what a bunch of friends I would like to have in my life. They were definitely their for each other!

So, how will this turn out with feelings and futures are at stake...will these two finally see the light at the end of the tunnel? Well, you will just have to pick up 'Crazy For You' to see if these two get their HEA! Now, get ready for the next series...'Can't Forget You' that features...Mark and Jessica's story.

My Thoughts...

What will happen when a meddling grandmother [Dixie] interferes in this romance of her grandson Ethan Hunter and such a lovely girl Gabby Winters. Now the measures Dixie will go to to see her grandson 'settled and happy' will be quite interesting. We find Gabby was running from an abusive relationship where she really only wanted was to put her life back together after a bad relationship
and finding her strength. For Ethan he is dealing with "trying to get his Off the Grid Adventures business off the ground, finding out that his grandmother has an aneurysm that could burst at anytime, and the baggage of having an abusive father who ended up killing his mother."

What brings these two together was Gabby the attack by hornets and Ethan rescued her. This was funny especially 'Trespassing on his land and getting stung by a bunch of yellow jackets and jumping in the river.' How will this play out especially when Ethan asks Gabby out? Why wasn't Gabby in for a relationship with Ethan? However, with that grandmother pushing what will these two do? This is where I say you will have to pick up this well written read to see what is in store as complicated situation will be in store for these two especially with that humorous meddling grandmother. What will happen when a 'fake relationship becomes more than just a fling' as these two figure it all out. I love the three main characters [Gabby, Ethan and Dixie] and that beautiful Haven, Carolina setting was just beautiful done. In the end the reader gets one fun, sweet, and entertaining romantic story that is full of 'angst, passion and much heart' that will keep your attention all the way to the end.

Thank you to the author for your gift of your read and my giving my honest opinion of the read.

Review: Crush by Lacey Weatherford
Crush - Lacey Weatherford

I really enjoyed reading CRUSHIt was a fastfun read with two main characters with chemistry to spare, a bit of creepiness and a nice twist to the all known hot-bad-boy-falls-for-the-goody-two-shoe.
The story is told from two POVs; Hunter and Cami's.

Cami is... well, she's kind of me, (which means she was very easy to relate to) only she's hot. You probably have no idea what I mean; Cami is that girl in class who always listens and takes notes, who never talks back to a teacher or cut class or party or do drugs or any of those things. She's a goody-two-shoe, only she's beautiful and she isn't even aware of it.

I liked her and her attitude - she couldn't care less what others thought of her friends, as long as sheliked what she was seeing.

Hunter had just moved into town, and he's everything Cami knows she doesn't want; he hangs with the "bad crowd" - wild parties and drugs and everything.
But he's also sweetcaringfunny andsmart, and for some "odd" reason seems to like her, a lot.

And of course, they can't help the attraction between them.

Clay is Cami's best friend. He's a total geek, though something in him changes while reading the book. He becomes more muscular, starts to dress more fashionably. Quite honestly, I didn't like him from the start. With a character like Hunter it's hard to like the pushy best-friend.

As far as romances go, theirs was...
