Tiny Hero of Ferny Creek Library, The - Victoria Jamieson,Linda Bailey

A lovely story about a bug who loves to read and becomes the hero by saving an elementary school library. A few cute illustrations accompany the story, with an adorable family of bugs and an element of adventure, while celebrating the love of reading, fun and childhood memories.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Seven Dead Pirates
Seven Dead Pirates - Linda Bailey

**An ARC of this book was provided by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review**

While certainly not a terrible book, it simply wasn't doing anything for me. Mostly I think it was the tween-angst and the fact that the plot goes practically nowhere till page 250. But the ghosts were the best part of the book and a rather fun bunch, and the ending was lovely.

Full review to come closer to publication.

If You Happen to Have a Dinosaur
If You Happen to Have a Dinosaur - Linda Bailey

If You Happen to Have a Dinosaur

Author Linda Bailey, Illustrator Collin Jack

Hardcover, 40 Pages

Publication in US by Tundra Books of Northern NY, 13 May, 2014

ISBN 9781770495685

Collin Jack's illustrations of If you happen to have a dinosaur are done in nice, bright colors and have some fun expressions on the faces of the characters. The author, Linda Bailey, uses clear wording and a fun story. She uses some questions in the story, giving room for the young reader to think about the story, too.

If You Happen to Have a Dinosaur
If You Happen to Have a Dinosaur - Linda Bailey I received this book via Netgalley in exchange for a honest review.

This was a really well-done, sweet book. It made me and my children laugh out loud several times.

The premise is what to do if you have a dinosaur in your living room. And the results are hilarious. Half-way through the book my five year old told me, "Yeah, we need a dinosaur for real."

The illustrations are well done, visually stunning and full of details. We had a lot of fun picking out all the little things drawn in the pictures.

This book was the perfect read-along for my five and seven year old and is one we will be investing in for our personal collection.

Stanley's Beauty Contest - Linda Bailey,Bill Slavin The kids and I didn't think that Stanley's Beauty Contest was quite as entertaining as Stanley's Party, but it was still cute. We all enjoyed how annoyed the dogs were with their non-doggy, fruity shampooed scents.
