This is a re-imagining of the fairytale "The Twelve Dancing Princesses." I haven't ever read "The Twelve Dancing Princesses" so I can't comment on how similar it is. I wasn't much of a fairytale fan as a child (which is a bit odd). We did have a book of fairytales though and the one that I really enjoyed was Rumpelstiltskin, there was just something about it that mesmerized me. Okay now I am way off topic...
This has taken me less time to read than I thought it would. I have really enjoyed following the sisters as they sneak into speakeasies to dance. Their father is an absolute jerk. But gah could you imagine having eleven sisters and all of them living in the same house. I had a hard enough time with just one sister.
Some important things have just happened in this book and now it will be interesting to see what happens to each of the girls.
