Savor the Moment
Savor the Moment - Nora Roberts

This ended up being my highest rated book out of the Bride Quartet series. Probably cause of the mess that Emma and the crew did in book #2 ended up annoying the crap out of me. This one was a really great slow burning romance that thank God had none of the drama of the second book.

Book #3 is about Laurel. Laurel is the baker for the wedding planning business. She ends up getting involved with Del (Parker's brother) and feels out of sorts about how their "relationship" came about and what it even means. Laurel is stubborn about things, but I liked her a lot. She was snarly and combative with her love interest, but it was a nice change of pace.

Del has been a long time fan of all of the "girls". Del at times you got to see was overly protective of all of the women in the series, and though it was a little much at times, it wasn't offputting. He honestly reminded me of Josh Templeton from the "Daring to Dream" series. I liked that he didn't let Laurel push him away and listened to her and made sure she listened to him.

Reading about people working out is boring. Seriously. I could not believe that Roberts included scenes of that. I didn't care about Mac working out to look nice in her wedding dress. I just rolled my eyes. The wedding scenes at this point are here to stay along with the acronyms galore. I honestly just rolled my eyes at how all of the heroes in this series who have full time jobs by the way, happen to always be around to help out the women. It's like how Roarke is always running after Eve like he doesn't have a full time job dealing with a million things.

Better keep some distance from sweets while reading this one....
Savor the Moment - Nora Roberts

Sometimes we read a book that is not only good, it also turns out to be  perfect for the current mood were in.

That's what happened with this one. A perfect read for a relaxed Saturday afternoon.

I guess by now, there isn't much more I can say about Nora Roberts' writing:

The author definitely knows how to spin a tale. If you've already read some of the author's books, you know what I'm talking about. If not....well, your loss...

So in this story _once again _ we have some smooth, flowing writing, and the rest it's basically up to us readers:

Which are our favourite characters?

With whom do we identify the most? Which pair pulls at our heart strings?

Myself....I liked the first book VISION IN WHITE. There was a little too much talking about weddings _ I KNOW! The SHOCK! lol_ but I loved the main couple. Especially Carter who is such a sweetie.

The second one not so much, mainly because of the last part who derailed a little on the drama department...but I'm happy to report _from the romance front_ that this one was another winner!

In terms of conflict, _at a soap opera level_, don't expect it to happen here (Thank God!).

Nora Roberts knows how to play the dynamics between friends, family and lovers, in such a way, that most of the times, I can't help feeling that I know these people.

This is Laurel's, _ the pastries' chef book and Del, Parker's brother.

There isn't much to say about this story, besides it being a sweet romance.

Myself I loved it, because the romance was the focus of it. And I especially enjoyed it due to the lack of dramatics (other people will say that it was boring, and that it just lacked tension and conflict. As we know, Tastes are Tastes..).

The characters feel real, and most importantly, mentally healthy!

There's no screamings, and bouts of jealousy going around.

Instead there's just normal people, with normal insecurities trying to make a relationship work.

Then there was also some occasional funny and awe inducing moments.

Like this one:

Feeling foolish, Laurel opened the envelope. You might think this is over, but you’d be wrong. I’ve taken your shoes hostage. Contact me within forty-eight hours, or the Pradas get it.

Laurel made a sound caught between a laugh and a curse as Parker read over her shoulder. “He took your shoes?”

"I know you as well as I know anyone, so how could I not sense or see or know that you
have feelings for Del?”

“I don’t. Okay, I do, but it’s not like I pine for him day and night. It comes and goes. Like an allergy. Only instead of making me sneeze, it makes me feel like an idiot.”

Savor the Moment (Bride Quartet, #3)
Savor the Moment (Bride Quartet, #3) - N... Savor the Moment (Bride Quartet, #3) - Nora Roberts My notes and highlights are too funny on this one...mostly 'cause I'm sleepy-loopy-trippy and because I'm all about the romance and cavity-inducing sweetness right now. Basically I fell in love with Del. And with Laurel. Ugh. Love.
