Tate finds strength in vulnerability. Her characters are people that are perfectly flawed, yet larger than life. In their weakest moments is when their courageous spirit shines through. Ronan and Blakely are caught in a masquerade of their own making. She's a woman on the mend, afraid to let anyone get too close. He's a man in need of an escape from the hassle his world has become. What ensues is a challenge that chips away at the pain of disappointment, the fear of self-doubt and illuminates the power of love. There's beauty in heartbreak. Count on Sofia Tate to go right for the heart. Unspoken is a story of love between friends. Aiden and Bea were years in the making. They just had to get out of their own way and follow their hearts. Can they survive the naysayers and the fear of taking the risk? Anything worth having takes sacrifice and deep emotion. Unspoken proves itself to be everything I've come to expect from a Tate novel. The heartache is real, but the temptation is too great to pass up.

Hopeless Romantic

Beauty and the Beast has always been a favorite story of mine. Beyond all the CGI of Disney and the obsessive behavior of a Phantom lies a work of art. A timeless classic. Perhaps that's why there are so many variations of the tempting tale. The story packs an ethereal punch with a powerfully relevant message. True beauty can never be tarnished. It comes from within and can be found in the most surprising of places. His Beauty stays true to the wonder of love's healing power, with some twists along the way. Lily is the perfect heroine. A tad naive, but drawn to the beauty of the unique. Grayson is a treasure trapped inside the soul of a wolf. Lily brings out his predatory side, but his scars run deeper than the physical and wider than the emotional. He creates beauty with pure obsessiveness that is hauntingly magical, but can never find that emotion in himself. The seduction lies with the power of the heart and mind. This is a tale that capture the soul and hangs on for dear life. It speaks for itself.

Crazy for Him - Sofia Tate

Crazy for Him by Sofia Tate is a super short read. It’s the story of Lucy and Tomas. Both of them are opera singers, which I thought was a nice twist compared to all the other stories out there.

I also found I’m late to the party, because it turns out these two characters make an appearance in the earlier Davison and Allegra’s books (I’ll have to read those one of these days).

In Crazy for Him, Lucy and Tomas are already married and with two kids. As Tomas drives to their destination Lucy proposes that they retell their love story to each other. The way in which the story is told is in first person from both POVs.

It is through a series of flashbacks that Lucy and Tomas tell each other their own version of how they fell in love, the ups and downs they had to overcome to be together.

The story is way to short so I can’t say anymore without giving it away. I’ll leave it at: if you’re looking for a good feel kind of story, this would be a good one to pick. It can be read in two hours or less.

“Hi.”

At the sound of her soft voice, I turn away from the window.

Allegra stands before me in a simple black dress that hugs all of her spectacular curves, with a thin belt that cinches her waist. With her hair pulled back in her familiar style at the nape of her neck, her legs encased in black stockings and those black stilettos that I love, she is a vision.

But my favorite parts of her ensemble are the jewels that adorn her luscious body. I gave her the ruby ring on her right hand in Venice when our gondola floated under the Bridge of Sighs, which, according to legend, was supposed to seal our love for eternity. Around her neck is the hummingbird pendant on the chain that I bought for her as a Christmas present because that’s what she was doing the first time I met her at Le Bistro—humming like a songbird.
