Electric Heat by Stacey Brutger
Electric Heat (A Raven Investigations Novel Book 3) - Stacey Brutger

In the third book of the Raven Investigations series, Raven is required to spend the week with the Witches. They want her help to figure out who is killing the Witches, but Raven may be in a lot more danger than she realizes. Not only does she have to deal with this, but she also must deal with the price of Taggart being different, and not seeing much of him until she gets back. This may all turn out okay in the end, or it could be the end for all of them.

This book was okay. I didn't like it as much as the previous books, but it was still enjoyable. I kind of hated the fact that Taggart, and Jackson weren't in it very often. But I hope the next one we get to see more of them. I also loved learning about what Raven is, even though I still have questions about it.

This book seemed more of a filler type of book, then one that actually added more to the story. But now I'm more excited for the next one.

BloodSworn by Stacey Brutger
BloodSworn - Stacey Brutger

BloodSworn begins with Trina hiding from the Vampires on the Shifters place. She thinks this will be the best place for her till she can figure out how to get her sister back from the vamps. The only problem is the lead Shifter knows exactly where she is, and he wants something from her. Something she may not even be sure she can give. But when it comes time for her fight or flight, she picks to fight no matter how dangerous it is for her.

This book was okay. It was as great as the other books I've read by this author, but it was still an interesting read. I think the problem I had with was I couldn't really connect with the characters, and I wish there had been a little more emotion and explanations between the hero and heroine. Other then that it was a nice Urban Fantasy to pass the time with.

Electric Moon by Stacey Brutger
Electric Moon (Raven Investigation #2) - Stacey Brutger

The second book in the series begins with Raven getting ready for the Conclave. She wants to make sure she doesn't lose the pack she didn't really want in the first place, and she also wants to get Jackson back. But upon learning new things, she's not so sure that Jackson hasn't betrayed her. Along with the other two members of her pack, Raven must train all the while helping the police find another killer as well. This gets even more dangerous when rouges start showing up around Raven's house...

This one was really good. I really enjoyed Raven's relationship with her three pack "mates." It was super awesome. But the end left me frustrated, and now I'm super excited to read the next book. I really loved how Raven handled things in this one. She was super strong, and brave, and she worked her to keep her people safe, all the while still trying to handle her police work. I need the next book like now!!

Electric Storm by Stacey Brutger
Electric Storm (A Raven Investigations Novel Book 1) - Stacey Brutger

This story begins when Raven goes out for a night with her friends. They didn't show up, so she ended up going into the club all by herself not knowing what was really going on. Now, she ends up in possession of a shifter and his guardian. Not only that, but it seems that people every where now want to be around her more, and they seem to be learning her secrets. She can not allow this, but it seems to be unstoppable. Especially with a killer on the loose who knows who she is want what she's doing.

This book was not at all what I was expecting. To be honest, I was a little scared at first when I started reading it, but then I was hooked. I really loved Raven. She is so strong, but yet super loyal and nice too. I loved that about her. Not only that I also loved the relationship between her and the "pack." It made things much more interesting. I really can not wait to read the next book now!

BloodSworn by Stacey Brutger
BloodSworn - Stacey Brutger

In BloodSworn, we meet Trina Weyebridge, one of the most powerful, most feared type of witch, and the last of her line. She's a BloodSworn witch whose magic comes from her blood. As powerful as this type of witch is, Trina doesn't practice magic. Her powers were bound for her protection ten years ago. Since then she's been living her life in the human world as a hematologist. However, things are about to change. Vampires have kidnapped her sister and she'll do anything to get her back.

The war between vampires and shifters had ended one hundred and fifty years ago with a shaky truce that neither race would encroach on the others' territory.

Witches were little threat to the pack, but something about their magic disturbed the virus that kept vampires alive. Vampires and witches had hunted each other fanatically for centuries. The only thing that stopped an out-right war between the races was the pack's pledge to keep the peace.

I enjoyed this world that Stacey Brutger created. Vampires are not seductive or sparkly. They, along with the witches, are the bad guys in this novel. The shifters play an integral part in this world and keep the peace. Merrick, the Leo, was my favorite character. I also liked Merrick, Trina's protector. I was intrigued by the power and history of the BloodSworn. This would make a good series and, if the author chooses to write more in this world, I would definitely read it.
