Number 49 in www.ReadFree.ly list of 50 Best Indie Books of 2015!

Thanks to everybody who voted for The Daughter-in-law Syndrome.  As a thank you for getting it to number 49 in ReadFree.ly's list 50 Best Indie Books of 2015, I am making it free on Amazon during Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Short Blurb:

After twenty eight years of marriage, Arla, the daughter-in-law, is at the end of her tether and persuades her reluctant husband Ric to accompany her for marriage guidance. As they look back over their lives with Counsellor Toni Beecher, Arla slowly comes to realise her own failings, and eventually discovers the long-hidden reason why Ric will never utter a cross word to his mother.

This review is from: A House Without Windows (Kindle Edition)

How on earth do you 'get over' being physically, emotionally and sexually abused and held captive below ground, giving birth to a child, for over ten years? You don't!! We can compartmentalise if we are strong enough, but forget - never! I cried throughout this story: for Liam, for Beth, for Amy and baby Joss. Great writing.

I’ve never seen a tree, so Mummy drew one for me in my colouring book and showed me. I don’t understand why there was a tree in her house.
