This is a pretty standard 'surviving high school' kind of book. Despite the length, I found it to be a quick read, because it is so simple yet engaging. Good character development, although highly stereotyped. Captivating story.
I enjoyed the book much more than I did the movie adaptation.

KissnTell is about Anais and Vaughn, high school students in a private school and best friends. They are popular merely because people call them with bad names. After being humiliated in a party, they are motivated to break out of their shells to show those bullies 'they can do better'. These girls change their styles from Plain to Fab. They made some scenes and ended up having a gossip blog.
This books deals with friendship, and teenage drama with a touch of romance. I like how different this is from other Young Adult books that I've read, I consider this as a fresh read because it gives us a little background how these paparazzi stalk famous people, get their pictures and make money out of it. It's quite interesting and fun. I also like how the authors focus on the characters, making sure the other wasn't left out with the story.
However, I have mixed thoughts this book. There are little misspelled words and grammatical errors, but it's okay. The little romance was okay just to spice things up. In this book, I pretty much like Anais. Despite of being a pessimist and being too selfless, she has a pure soul and a kind heart. She pretty much develop throughout this book. I like how her personality stays the same.

Sorry, but I have to rant on this. I don't like Vaughn. She's a desperate, insecure, selfish bitch. Let's just say, I gave her a benefit of a doubt. I don't like the way she treated Anais. She is a social climber. I hate her for desperately seeking popularity, to be friends with rich bitches, and forget the value of friendship. I have never been this mad to a character. She frustrated me to heck. She just craves for attention. uggh!
Overall, it's a good one but not really my favorite.
I found the overly dramatic narrator a bit annoying, since she never really lets up. I guess I felt like her mother who is constantly nagged... It was a fun narrator though, and she's very conniving and convincing to get what she wants. The ending didn't feel very resolved for me - I wanted there to be more ... justice? For both of the rival characters on each end of the spectrum. I did like Ella's growth throughout the novel, and the writing style of the author was very nice in terms of pacing, dialogue and build-up.
I read this book a couple of years ago as Disney made a movie out of it, and if a book has been made into a movie, I like to try and read the book first. I have mixed feelings about this book. The movie is cute, and there are some basic ideas in place which are fun, but I thought the execution was poor.Lola was a huge challenge for me as a character in both the book and the movie. In each she came across as melodramatic and self-centered. I don't remember the ending of the book, but by the end of the film she became more selfless. However, in reading the book it just drove me utterly crazy. Although it may be a flaw as a reader, I sometimes struggle with books where the characters make the same mistake many times, yet the characters don't seem to change at all. I also remember reading this and not really enjoying Sheldon's prose, which likely added to this. I liked that Ella's character and back story are a lot more developed in this book. I felt that the author gave her some very realistic struggles, yet I don't remember feeling overly sympathetic for her. Relating to the characters in this novel was a challenge for me.Given what I've said here, I realize it probably seems unfair of me to give this book one star. The fair thing to do would probably be to re-read and reconsider this novel. I honestly have no memories of enjoying reading this book. However, you don't necessarily have to listen to me. For me this book is a reminder that sometimes, as hard as one may try to be objective in formulating an opinion about a novel, sometimes a book and a reader just don't fit. See if this fits you better than it did me.
