Saints and Misfits - S Mahmud Ali

I'm not Muslim so I don't have personal experience, but this book seems to do a good job of portraying what it's like for an American teen. It works in a lot of the normal teen situations and shows how the religion relates to them. It also shows how everyone is mostly good. There is someone who is thought to be a good person by most and who isn't. I've seen the same with someone who's supposed to be Christian. I enjoyed it and was ready to get back to reading when I had to take a break to work. Since it's intended for a younger audience, I'm assuming they'll like it even more than I did.

The Magic Misfits by Neil Patrick Harris
The Magic Misfits - Lissy Marlin,Neil Patrick Harris,Author
Love Neil Patrick Harris since his Doogie Houser days, and I know a lot of you are with me. I saw this debut book of his on sale and grabbed a copy. I was excited to see what he had in store for the literary world.
He didn't disappoint either!
What a fun adventure, reading about Carter and the friends he acquires. Plus there is a few magic tricks shared in the book that you can try and practice. There's a mathematical one that I will be doing to my peers often. It was just so much fun!
I look forward to the next book in the series.

Lady Pamela and the Gambler (The Merry Misfits of Bath #3) by: Callie Hutton
Lady Pamela and the Gambler (The Merry Misfits of Bath #3) - Callie Hutton

Hutton tells the stories that need to be heard with a graceful heart and a hopeful spirit. Lady Pamela and the Gambler will open hearts to the people we tend to forget. Nicolas and Pamela are beautiful souls caught in a less than ideal situation. Pamela is so much more than the words she struggles to say. Nicolas has his own demons to conquer, but something about Pamela refuses to let him walk away. Amidst danger and prejudice, two loners find the strength to take a risk on the healing power of love. Hutton proves the power of words with a journey of hope.

Young magicians adventure
The Magic Misfits - Lissy Marlin,Neil Patrick Harris

Carter is an orphan who lived with a bad uncle that used him to steal from people.

He run away and take a train ride to another beautiful small town where he met a magician and his family.

Now he got new friends who like magic and would help him to gain some trust back.

The book is written for teenagers who like adventure and secret code. There are quite a lot of those. Also, there are in-between chapters that give beginner level magic tricks.

Lovely. It is a fun read and a fun books with secret messages.

Looking for them now.... And the story is about teenagers against bad guys who want to steal from people.

The diversity in characters and background has sent a message that just written words. There are two gay dads with an adopted daughter, a best friend in wheelchair. Like real life, people are diverse, but they could be friends and do things together. And the difference doesn't really matter. It is no big deal. And that's the treatment in this book.

Highly recommended it. Especially for children and teens.
