This book is very much a centrist book. If the oppressed fight back in any way they are just as bad as the oppressors. The people that deal out justice here are all men and the women more or less do nothing. I'm wondering how fast we are going to kill a woman off for man pain as that usually happens in a Gundam.

The author cares more about the weapon stats than any kind of characterization going on.

Of course we have Marina ineffectually clutching at her breast doing nothing.

Women in this book do nothing. It's the men that get to make the grandiose gestures and speeches. Women are supposed to make peace and be quiet and all that while it's the men that are the only ones that get to fight.

As you know being a third part between the oppressor and the oppressed, when the oppressed have to defend themselves, they deserve to die too! And them Lockon is wondering why the solar array is all broken. BECAUSE YOU SHOT THE GOOD GUYS!!!

I really hate this idea that "All fighting is bad mmkay" as the Gundams can rebalance the power and prevent the very war they want to stop from breaking out.

Then again Gundam has always had this centrist view on things, and Tomino is a horrible misogynist so there's that going on still too. (The women basically do nothing.)
