Miss Bindergarten Gets Ready for Kindergarten
Miss Bindergarten Gets Ready for Kindergarten - Joseph Slate,Ashley Wolff

Miss Bindergarten is getting ready to teach Kindergarten. The book begins with her walking into her classroom and the walls are bare and there are boxes everywhere. Everything that is written in this book begins with each letter of the alphabet in order. At the end, the students arrive to a colorful classroom and Miss Bindergarten is ready to start the day!

I would read this book in the first week of Kindergarten. It is an interesting and colorful book that introduces the alphabet. An activity that would be neat to do with the students afterwards is have the students come up with an animal that begins with the same first letter as their name. Not only does this work with the alphabet, but it also works with the students with their names.

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom - Bill Martin Jr.,John Archambault,Lois Ehlert

The classic story, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, is exceptional for a kindergarten or pre-k learner. This book can help those struggling with their alphabet and leaves them remembering a catchy tune. The rhyming of this story makes the text even more interesting and the student experiences some word play with some of the letters, including loose tooth T and black eyed P. In my experience with this book, it has been effective for all readers and even the oldest of readers enjoy this text. This book is leveled at a 530L.

The Alphabet Parade by Charles Ghigna
The Alphabet Parade - Charles Ghigna, Ja... The Alphabet Parade - Charles Ghigna, Jatkowska Ag (Illustrator)

a fun-filled alphabet book! each letter has it's own rhyme, and features an animal doing something silly, with a brightly coloured picture to match. lots more fun than the plain old "a is for apple" books

**THANKS TO NETGALLEY & PUBLISHERS FOR THIS ARC!
