Have you ever started a series and then just read one book after the other because you're so captivated? This is the Rylee Adamson series to me!!

What I liked: To me, Shadowed Threads is all about choices and the ones Rylee has to make. Her feelings are telling her one thing and her "allies" are telling her another. Which will she choose and what will be the consequences? 

Shadowed Threads had me on the edge the whole book. Just when I thought Rylee was going to catch a break, well, she doesn't. I'm practically exhausted for Rylee. The pace never slows and she's going from one case, er, disaster, to the next. 

I am glad Rylee has met another Tracker, Jack, and am wondering how he is going to work with Rylee on her powers. At the moment, he's stalling. Then there are the secondary characters. Of course Alex is my favorite but Evie and Pam are unique also. Faris, I'm not sure about as you can just feel he has a hidden agenda. The more I read about Doran (a daywalker vamp), the more I want to know. And now we add Blaz, a dragon, and he's paired with Rylee...there's a reason there. And of course, there's the twisted best friend, Milly. 

Rylee has to decide whether to go after Liam, whose wolf is currently in charge or save her sister, Berget. So many choices and so little time. If that's not enough a guardian is trying to kill her and guardians don't stop!!

I really enjoyed getting a POV from Liam. It added to the story and gave some insight into his character and how his Wolf was coping.

What I didn't like: I would really like it if Ms Mayer gave Rylee a week or so of rest with no calamities sneaking up on her. 

I'm entranced by this series. I take a breath and dive end. Occasionally, I come up for air or to make dinner or some other mundane chore, but while I'm reading one of Ms Mayer's Rylee Adamson's books, I can't think of anything but finishing it.

Highly Recommended, but again, you must start with the first book, Priceless and don't give up!!

This was another Kindle deal for me and as I was already hooked on the series. Thank goodness for the deals!

What I liked: Rylee is dealing with a bunch of crap. She's not sure what's going on with O'Shea, her best friend has turned into a raving lunatic and betrayed her and Giselle is fading. On top of that, Agent Valley wants Rylee to go to England to help find young terminally ill children who are missing.

So that is the premice in a nutshell without all the angst and chaotic happenings Rylee keeps getting into. So, like many reviewers, I found Rylee a bit harsh in this edition. Then I started thinking, I mean she has a lot on her plate and who wouldn't be bi*chy about everything that is happening in her life and not in a good way.  I felt this was more of a transitional book to introduce more characters and plot lines.

One thing I will say, Raising Innocence is action packed and kept my attention. I may not have liked how Rylee was acting but it didn't detract from my overall enjoyment of the world Ms Mayer continues to build. While the characters didn't all act the way I wanted them to, I couldn't stop reading.

What I didn't like: I was a bit unsure and not overly impressed with a few of the new characters. I couldn't figure out how they are going to fit into the story once Rylee goes back to America. I'm still not sure how that is going to work. It felt like those characters were just invented for this particular book. We'll see, I guess.

So, even though this wasn't my favorite book, it did serve it's purpose in moving the storyline along and introduced a few very interesting characters.

What I liked: First, I liked Immune but it wasn't as compelling as the the first book.  That's not to say I didn't like it, actually I felt it was more of a transitional book and I read it extremely fast. 

Ms Mayer is still establishing her characters and building her world in Immune.  More so than in book one.  I'm still learning how to connect with Rylee. She has good traits and bad.  She jumps into most situations without a plan or based strictly on her "gut reaction". It some cases it's understandable but in others, I wanted to smack some sense into her.  That's the thing, I get why and what she's doing but quick risky decisions have me shaking my head.  

Now, O'Shea is a different matter altogether. I love his character and am really looking forward to what Ms Mayer has in store for him. He could be Rylee's voice of reason, if she will let him. There's some tension between them in a romantic sense that I really wasn't expecting based on the first book.

The action is non-stop and the trouble just keeps coming. The characters flow from one crisis to the next. My very favorite thing about what Ms Mayer is doing with this series is the way she provides the reader with the character connections.  The first time a character is mentioned in Immune, it's linked to a profile on how that character relates to Rylee and some background on the character.  You "click" on it and there the information is to refresh your memory. Hit the back button and resume the story.  This is the very first series I've ever seen this done. When a reader is dealing with a group of characters, this innovation clarifies each and every character to refresh your memory.

What I didn't like: As mentioned, Immune wasn't as gripping to me as the first book but it did move the story along and there is no lack of action.

I'm currently reading book five in this series.  I've read them one right after the other. I can't get enough!
