Every Heart a Doorway brings my total up to four books:

From the Heart --> Heart Quest --> Heart Dance --> Every Heart a Doorway

But I miscalculated. I thought the word "every," or possibly even "door" (kind of cheating, but hey, it's my game), could get me out of my "heart" rut. Would you believe I don't have a single book in my paper TBR that has those words in the title? "Door" brings up something in my e-book collection, but that doesn't count.

I'm a little tired of being limited to my steadily shrinking list of "heart" books, so I may be calling this game quits. If I change my mind between now and when I select the next paper book in my collection, the options I'd most likely be going with are either The Baby Who Stole the Doctor's Heart by Dianne Drake or Heart Change by Robin D. Owens. But I'm still kind of tired of the Celta books, and I'm having trouble working up a desire to read the doctor book. I really want to read one of my shiny new books...

Yes, I'm still playing. So far the string of titles looks like this:

I took a look at my options for "Dance," just to see what was available:

Julia Quinn - Dancing At Midnight

Sherrilyn Kenyon - Dance with the Devil (reread)

Laurell K. Hamilton - The Killing Dance (reread)

Nora Roberts - Dance to the Piper (possibly a reread?)

Ann Maxwell - Fire Dancer (reread)

Dancer's Luck (reread)

Dancer's Illusions (reread)

Jeannie Lin - The Sword Dancer

Jeannie Lin and Ann Maxwell's books are the most tempting of the bunch, but I think I'll probably continue to stick with my "Heart" choices so that I can read Every Heart a Doorway. Here's hoping that "Every" or "Doorway" give me decent options for book 5, because I'm burned out on the Celta books and that'd leave me with The Baby Who Stole the Doctor's Heart as my next best option for breaking free of the "Heart" books.

I finished Heart Quest last night. I'll probably take a brief break and work on my library books and reviews, but after that I'll move on to Book 3.

I took a quick look at the results for "quest," but they were as pathetic as I expected.

K.B. Bogen - Go Quest, Young Man

Wendy and Richard Pini - The Quest Begins (book 2 in the novelization series)

I'm going to stick with my original plan and stay with "heart." I'm not burned out on Robin D. Owens' Celta series yet, even though my reread of Heart Quest reminded me of the setting's cheesy and/or embarrassing aspects. I'll probably move on to Heart Dance, Dufleur and Saille's book.

I'm going to try playing that game I made up. If it doesn't end up working well for me, I can always quit. In the end, the goal is to read and review more of my paper books, and then hopefully get rid of some of them. Since sheer number of books sometimes makes it hard to choose which one to start next, this game might help.

I could look at "from" too, but "heart" gives me plenty of options, so I'll stick with that. At the moment, I'm leaning towards rereading Heart Quest because I'm in a reread kind of mood. I don't know that "quest" would be a good word for the book after that, but going back to "heart" would let me read more of Owens' Celta series or move on to Every Heart a Doorway.

I have some time to think, though, because I need to work on my reviews and library books.

I found this book blog question on a Swedish book blog and I wanted to answer it too.

This one was a bit difficult to answer actually. First of all, at the moment, I don't have access to my books 'in real life', because I've been living 'in a box' for a long time and I'm still in the middle of moving. Fortunately, I still have my virtual book shelves, so I looked around a bit and found a few alternatives. I'll skip the Swedish title I found, since that book doesn't seem to be available in translation and move on to Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. In a way, I'm the constant outside, the one who doesn't fit in anywhere. For a more positive choice, I'm picking Lost in a Good Book by Jasper Fforde, because losing oneself in a good book is among the most wonderful things you can do.
