Audiobook Review: Caught in the Chase (Caught #3) by Kacey Shea, Narrated by Savannah Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton
Caught in the Chase (Caught) - Kacey Shea

Caught in the Chase by Kacey Shea

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Audiobook Review: Caught in the Chase (Caught #3) by Kacey Shea, Narrated by Savannah Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton

Alicia and Chase gave me goosebumps. Shea touches the soul. Caught in the Chase throws away the rose colored glasses and gives a glimpse into the darkness of a tarnished heart. With a portrayal that is as haunting as a memory and a journey as painful as it is poignant, Peachwood and Hamilton draw the heart in like a magnet.

CAUGHT IN THE MOMENT by Brandy Walker
Caught in the Moment (Freefall #1) - Brandy Walker

Laurel is the photographer for the yearbook in high school. She crushes on Quin, the football team captain. After taking photos of the team, she takes some candid shots of Quin and he notices her and makes a derogatory remark that ends up making her last year of high school a living nightmare. Ten years later she is taking photos for a book and ends up at his skydiving school where he does not remember her. When he finally puts it all together he wants to make up for what he did in high school. She still has her crush but will she see him as anything more?

I enjoyed this story. It was quick and focused on the two of them. She tries to keep the personal from the professional but the lines blur. I liked that we get his thoughts on what happened in high school and what he hopes for now. I liked both Laurel and Quin but his brothers still the show when Laurel goes to Guys Night. I laughed at how they teased Quin. Just like siblings!

I hope I already have the next book in the series; otherwise I might not be able to finish this series. And I want to!

Caught Dead Handed
Caught Dead Handed - Carol J. Perry

Lee (Maralee) loved back to her hometown to interview for a news reporter for the local TV station. When she arrives for interview, she finds the position has already been filled. She stumbles over a body; who as it turns out was the psychic late night host of supernatural movies and took callers during commercials. The station's owner decides to hire Lee to fill Ariel's position.
I did like Lee and how self aware she was. She's been around the block (having loved and lost her NASCAR racing husband in an auto accident- she was the one driving). She also has abilities that have been suppressed/forgotten about, so she fits right in taking calls. I liked the romance with the detective and there is a good opening for book 2.

I have mixed feelings about the "baddie" (who really wasn't if you consider everything). The baddie was Janice, who was born William (Willie). She and her brother George were sexually abused by their mother. It's explained she had multiple personalities and Janice was created to protect Wille. It's mentioned she had sex re-assignment surgery. This is all told by George. None of it is told through Janice's POV.

(spoiler show)

I read this for Romance-opoly Sleuth Street sun track

How Mirka Caught a Fish - Barry Deutsch,Hansen Literary Agency

Another fantastic adventure in Hereville. I really enjoy this series, especially the blending of reality and fantasy as well as the folklore elements.

As these books have progressed, it has been interesting to see Mirka's relationships with her various family members, especially her siblings, and her stepmother always filling an important role within the story. Watching Mirka learn and mature and grow has been such a wild adventure in the best of ways.

This book was perfectly beautiful with a lovely ending that really tied the whole story together. As with the other books, the illustrations were amazing. I really love these strange adventures filled with magic, trickery, suspense, and battles of wits.
