Sorry for boring everyone with the usual drama again. Not violent threats or anything like that, just another author not getting it and mocking bully victims. Thread is closed; in case comments get edited after, some screenshots are below.
I'm not wanting to add to book discoverability so not posting author or book name here; just giving a link to fellow consumers in case drama they want to avoid.
She is also convinced she can hurt goodreads by getting published book retail product data removed from goodreads:
And how she defines sockpuppets:
(I notice because I see red every time bully victims are mocked by equating a rating on an inanimate object with the trauma and damage a person suffers when targeted by a bully so cannot resist the PSA...)
For your consideration (not naming author to avoid publicizing):
Yes, I commented on the message outing posts and am one of the reviewers whose reviews she wants removed from amazon for being paid reviews. My objectionable shelves names for their book: "not for me" "dnr" "consumer boycott." (not shelves on booklikes, haven't been able to get back to edit or use shelves here in more than a year).
Punchline: I don't review on Amazon, stopped reviewing on goodreads when Amazon bought them (a few recent reviews of traditionally published books temporarily there because of summer 2015 book club/group requirements and because I cannot get back to the part of booklikes where I can turn off sync so have to manually delete reviews later off goodreads...
Bonus punchline: Author's comments and posts on goodreads were mostly deemed so bad by goodreads staff that they have been removed after flagged.
If curious, I'll just direct you to the first post I saw about the namecalling messages on booklikes: http://nospin.booklikes.com/post/1221059/so-i-shelved-a-book-on-gr and a comment heavy post about that from a more popular and better investigator than I bookliker at http://themisathena.booklikes.com/post/1221852/post
Gee, wonder if I'm going to go right out and rate or review books and advertise for them right and left? Or ask them for money just like I supposedly do for all those zombie deceased guys I review on Amazon or the traditionally published authors I review in Amazon? Or will I just wish the author and the book to remain in utter obscurity beyond making sure other consumers are aware of the issue?
(I don't need comments on this URL share of http://nospin.booklikes.com/post/1221059/so-i-shelved-a-book-on-gr ; just making a wee little PSA in case anyone was unaware of that particular uploader's antics or wanted to comment on that post.)
Bully: a person who uses their strength and/or power to harm or intimidate a person who is weaker over a given period of time.
Criticism: is the analysis and/or judgement of the merits and faults of a literary or artistic work.
Please, read that again. And again.
One more time so it sinks in.
Now you understand the definitions. Please, explain to me how you can be labeled a bully by an author for simply discussing their precious novel that is riddled with errors.
