Interesting addition to the worldbuilding is a sentient, vocal bookstore plus a possibly over the top new character (Tabitha, who is reminding me of first released Star Wars "these are not the droids you are looking for" power of the force).
I could do without the teenage-style can't-glance-away-even-at-inappropriate lust moments between her and Cade. Oh, I want the romance promised in first book but not for it to devolve into teenager-y stuff (particularly as neither are teenagers).
