If you haven't read Rosa, really's review for this one, you MUST. Go there. Read it.

I thought this was ADORABLE. Ed won major points for me, for being geeky, and socially inept, and having goldfish named Atari (oh, he used to have two, but Atari ate Sega *lol*). I always love it when the younger man is the one doing the chasing. So Mateo, with all his handsome glory and his youthful positivity, who just barged into Ed's barriers, made me cheered for him to get his man. The humor fit me and I had to smile reading some of the things that came out from Ed's mouth, including the miscommunication when Ed was drunk :p

I'm not liking the whole "E" thing though. Somehow it just made me think of Ecstasy (my weird brain was getting at me again)

Thanks Katharina for bringing this to my timeline; because I missed it last year.

I love it when a geek and a super hottie get together.

I really really liked this one.
Give me a shy, geeky guy like Ed anytime!

Ed is 34 and a total homebody. He is shy, geeky, and loves his video games. He also has a major crush on his 24 year old muscular neighbor, Mateo. And it seems like Mateo is showing an interest in Ed as well.

I really loved Ed and his inability to form normal sentences when confronted with Mateo. The things he blurted out, I loved it. Fortunately Mateo loved it as well.

There was some hot sex as well. I love it when the bigger guy bottoms!



The one thing I absolutely did not like in this short story is 2 pages of unnecessary angst. I have no idea what it did there. That’s the one thing that made this cute story less than what it could have been.

Vacation-Countdown-Shorty #9/19!

Ed is a geek. His plan for a good evening? Stay at home and play video games all night long.
At times he reminded me of him. Just... nicer!?


Oh! And he has a goldfish named Atari.


Mateo lives in the same house across the hallway. Appartment 11C. He is outgoing, sucks at videogames and is the bartender in a family owned bar.


Ed lusted after Mateo from afar but after some foot in mouth incidents and awkward moments they form a friendship which didn't cool Ed's crush down in any way.

I loved the easy humor.
I did totally identify myself with Ed.
And badass Atari got my heard from the first page on.

This was an adorable and funny story!

I'm just sad it isn't longer. Then I would have given it gladly 4 stars

So I'll go with 3.5 you-can-call-me-Ed stars!

With a cover like that how could anyone resist? I don't blame Ed one bit. His introvertedness was a bit over the top but Mateo definitely makes up for it because he was perfectly dreamy.
