Gritty romantic suspense with heat
Kill Shot (Spies R Us #2) - Amber Malloy

Very gritty story with a lot of interconnections between Ashe and Walker. Their heat and attraction to each other was intense at times. I loved how Walker accepted the feelings quickly and helped Ashe with her past issues despite the secrets. Ashe was a strong survivor. I enjoyed turning the pages, waiting to see what twist came next, and I recommend this story.

Mystery with a lot of history and surprises.
Dragon's Revenge - CJ Shane

This was my first book by this author. It took me a bit to get into this story, but as it unfolded, I began to enjoy it. The history spread throughout, the danger, the mystery, and the support that Letty got from friends and family made this an interesting book.

Fun read, love with a lot of magic
Mystic Maples (Deerbourne Inn Series) - Tena Stetler
This was a very entertaining read. Attraction and magic bring Mercy and Silvanus together as they try to solve a past mystery. The secondary characters added more to the story, including Bertha and Hope.
I really enjoyed this story, and I recommend it.

A bit long but an interesting tale from 1920's Chicago.
Where the Night Never Ends - Annette Oppenlander

I enjoyed this story although I felt it dragged a bit in places. It was very gritty but had its moments of innocence. I liked Sam's determination to do what she felt was right as well as her doggedness to survive. The hardships she went through did not break her. Paul was also a survivor, and I liked his protectiveness, smarts, and willingness to admit to mistakes. The setting in 1920's Chicago revealed both sides of the times.

Graphic, intense story.
Derrick - Russell

I enjoyed this book. There was plenty of action and definitely moments of very graphic intense scenes. This was my first book by Russell, and I liked getting to know Gavin and his team. Twists as you go, kept me wanting to read more.
