Book Review For: Sledgehammer P. Dangelico 'Sledgehammer' P. Dangelico is book Two in the "Hard to Love" series. This is the story of Ethan Vaughn and Amber Jones. I have read the Previous Book"Wrecking Ball " but feel this is easily a standalone book. Amber once believed in the childhood dream of true love and has been looking for it but gave up on it until Parker when he made her believe again. They were engaged three months after meeting and then he started to change. Anything she said, did or wore was not right. They ended up breaking up and then he starts calling asking her to meet him to talk. After asking her to come to a party at his parents house she learns that he getting married..they argue and she accidentally starts a fire. When Amber ends up in jail she calls her best friend Camilla (main character in the first book)who asked her husband best friend, Ethan to help. Ethan is a lawyer who has met Amber a few times. Amber calls him Mr. Perfect in her head and knows he not attracted to her nor is she to him she tells herself. But the Judge has put her under Ethel's custody for possible the next three months or until the trial is over. Amber and Ethan story was great! I loved the funny parts and how they interacted with each other!Ms. Dangelico is becoming one of my favorite authors! Sledgehammer

Amber Jones is in a pickle. And when I say pickle, I mean deep do-do. She knew she shouldn’t have gone to her ex’s New Year’s Eve party. And she reeeaally didn’t mean to almost burn down his house. It was the chafing dish’s fault, dang it! Now she needs a good lawyer, stat. But where to find one? All work and no play make Ethan Vaughn a very sad and lonely lawyer. Not to mention horny. He really shouldn’t have agreed to help his best friend’s wife’s bestie with her imbroglio. Now she’s remanded on bail––and living in his house. The woman is a walking, talking category five hurricane. And considering his track record with women, he needs to stay as far away from this one as possible. Problem is, he just can’t seem to make himself.
Calvin Shaw has zero interest in women. Wait, wait––let me rephrase that. He loves women, he just doesn’t want anything to do with ‘um. Not since his wife, presently ex-wife, got knocked up by the guy she was cheating on him with. Problem is––there’s one living in his house. And he doesn’t know what’s worse, that he promised to be civil, or that he’s attracted to her.

I live in Dallas but I am not a Texan by birth, I am a transplant from Tennessee and married a true Texan so I had to stay. We live in a older home in Dallas proper with our son and goldendoodle (who is roughly the size of a pony). Writing isn’t my day job, however it is my joy and favorite hobby. I enjoy sending my friends new chapters nightly and hearing their reactions the next day. That is why I write, being published is just a bonus really. My real job is the same every day, but at night I get to be someone else and write about all these fun adventures and sexcapades:) When I’m writing you can find me on the couch, earbuds in and a full glass of wine beside me. Music inspires my stores, at the end of each book I list the playlist that helped me through writing the novel. When I am not working or writing, I am reading. I go through about 3 books a week and I am 100% sure that I’m that annoying person at book-club that gets on to people when they are not keeping up with the monthly readings or suggest the movie is as good as a book (Sometimes I wish I could vote those people out of book-club like they do on Survivor. “The tribe has spoken”). My favorite authors that inspire my writing are: Colleen Hoover, Sarah J. Maas, Sandra Brown, and Rainbow Rowell.

Doggy Style
