Whilst I might not have adored Ari and Dante as much as some other people, I still really loved it - devouring it in one sitting on my sofa.

I loved the lyrical prose of this novel, and the growth of the relationship between Ari and Dante. Ari is hiding his feelings from himself so well that it comes almost (but not quite) as a surprise when he finally admits how much he has come to care for Dante.

Ari was a puzzle. I think he was very confused and in a lot of pain (both physical and emotional), but he could also be a bit irritating (just like anyone, I guess). Dante, on the other hand was a cute little shite and I wanted to jump into these pages and smother him with love.

I will definitely be one of those people that say: omg you have to read Ari and Dante!

I really loved The Forgotten. It remains one of my all time favourite dystopian novels, and I really don’t see that changing any time soon. The funny thing is – sequels are often a letdown. Second Book Syndrome or whatever. And most of the time this applies to me. When I look at my ratings on Goodreads, the first book in a series is always the highest and then the ratings pretty much get lower as the series goes on. So I was expecting to like The Wandering, because I love the characters and the story but the amazing thing is that I ended up LOVING it – perhaps even more so than its gorgeous predecessor.

Saruuh is really freaking talented. This book is told from a bunch of perspectives, I think the total is something like six, and each and every chapter is so clear that there is never any confusion about whose chapter is whose. I know from beginning to end of each chapter who I am reading about. And I freaking love each and every one of them.

Yosiah is my babe, though. He is one of my all time favourite book boyfriends, because he adores and protects Miya but understands her need to be strong on her own grounds and the way he handles her aversion to be being touched. I JUST CANNOT WITH YOSIAH, OKAY? I AM GETTING TOTALLY EMOTIONAL OVER HIM RIGHT NOW AND HE’S JUST MY PRECIOUS FREAKING DARLING BB.

Miya is heartbreaking. I adore her to pieces, and I ship her with Yosiah SO FREAKING HARD. I love how confused she is, and how much she loves the people she loves (which sounds a bit odd, but this girl is fierce when it comes to her family, it’s amazing).

Okay, deep breaths right now because EPIC FANGIRLING AND FLAILING IS ABOUT TO OCCUR BECAUSE I JUST CANNOT CANNOT CANNOT CAN’T WITH BRAN AND HONOUR. In the beginning of this book, I was like: am I getting the feels between these two? And then the SLOW BURN AND THE REVELATIONS AND THE KISS AND OMG YES. I needed this to happen because those two characters are the most adorable and vulnerable darlings in the world and together they are just freaking PERFECT AND I AM SQUEALINGGGGGGGGG WITH HAPPINESS. *incoherent happy mumbling*

I’m glad we were introduced to Bennett again because after she was transported away from Bran in The Forgotten, I was pretty worried about her. But she’s been getting along fine. She’s totally rocking life by herself, and I cannot wait to see where her paths take her in the future.

I need Horatia to be happy again, or for her boyfriend to be miraculously alive because I don't like seeing these characters in pain.

As for plot line, The Wandering was perfectly paced, and executed. Again with Saruuh’s talent, guys. It’s amazing. She’s one of my favourite writers, because she just has this way of making me care so much about everyone that she introduces me to, and her characters are so fleshed out and freaking real, and I just love it.

I NEED the third book in this series because I just need so much more of these characters that I have well and truly fallen in love with.

I went into Heir of Fire with a tiny bit of trepidation. I was not the biggest fan of Throne of Glass, but I really liked Crown of Midnight, and fervently loved The Assassin’s Blade. Where would Heir of Fire fit? Would I go back down the path of ‘not the biggest fan’, or would I continue to really like this series?

Well, I can tell you now that I love this series, and that Heir of Fire was fantastic. To hell with trepidation!

Seriously, though, I freaking adored Heir of Fire. It’s long, but I didn’t even realise because I was just devouring it every second that I could. Heaps of stuff happens in Heir of Fire, and I’ll touch on them all. LIST, LIST, YAY FOR LISTS.

- We’re introduced to new characters. A whole heap. But the ones who really matter are Rowan, Aedion and Manon. I wasn’t sure about Manon in the beginning. I kind of felt like she was just a way to make the book longer because who really cares about the Ironteeth heir? I certainly didn’t. But then I did. A few things happen regarding Manon and by the end I was a fan of her badassery and I can TOTALLY see her and Celaena being those best friends who just bitch at each other all the time. I just hope she doesn’t disappoint in future books.

Aedion. *bites lip* Uhm. Yep. I will take one of those, please and thank you. He’s freaking GORGEOUS AND WHY DO I WANT TO CREATE EVERY MALE IN THIS BOOK AND TAKE THEM HOME?

Rowan. ROWAN. Be still, my beating Fae heart. Seriously. I just. Cannot. With all the sexy men that Maas keeps creating. I CANNOT SHIP ALL THE SHIPS (by which I mean hell yes I can ship all the freaking ships because I SHIP ALL THE FREAKING SHIPS IN THIS BOOK). Rowan is the sexy Fae prince we have all been waiting for, and he certainly did not disappoint in sass and suaveness and everything that makes me asdfghjkl.

- Dorian is pretty much the most amazing little prince in the world and I just *screeches* I want to wrap him in a blankey and take him home.

- Chaolaena isn’t in the book. I hated this. I ship this one most of all, and this book just broke my heart (my hull?) with its lack of Chaolaena. They have to end up together. THEY HAVE TO.

- Shit goes down. SO MUCH shit goes down. There’s evil beasties and evil kings and evil flashbacks (that did get a little repetitive, I must say).

There’s so much evil in this book it’s amazing. Heir of Fire is just really really really good, okay? JUST READ THE GODDAMNED BOOK, I TELL YA.

The Realm of Possibility is gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous.

I haven’t read many books in prose (or song lyrics, or stream of consciousness – which all appear in The Realm of Possibility, but for ease, I’ll just say it’s prose), because the few I have read haven’t been able to get me to really invest my emotions. There’s a kind of detachment because not everything flows in the right way.

But that was not the case with The Realm of Possibility. This was written so beautifully, and I connected with every single one of the character pieces that I read. Each one was so very unique and distinct, and I could feel everything they were feeling. It was just superb.

One of the things I absolutely loved most about The Realm of Possibility was the fact that all the characters were connected. I think you would have to pay close attention to realise the connections between some of the characters, but even so – it was lovely. I was able to read about why characters were the way they were, and why they felt the way they felt.

Even though it's very hard to pick a favourite couple, or a favourite character, I have to say that my favourites are Daniel and Jed. Daniel's piece is the first piece in the book, and that was when I really fell in love with The Realm of Possibility. With this quote right here:

"in my english notebook, i had catalogued his graces

while in his mind he had detailed my kindnesses,

dreamed about saying things i dreamed of hearing."

AH, I JUST REALLY REALLY LOVED THIS BOOK. And I just want you to read it. I want you to read it in one sitting, like I did. Because it just lets you invest yourself in the book, and I think it’s a lot easier to see the connections when you’re reading it in one go.

So, please. If your morning is like mine right now – rainy and cold and in no way outside weather (or even the opposite – sunny and warm and you can read on the grass) – pick up The Realm of Possibility. Read about love, and friendship, and pain, and happiness, and everything that makes us human. Because you won’t regret it. Because The Realm of Possibility is one of the most beautiful books I have had the pleasure of reading this year. Because after I finished, I held it to my chest and wrapped my arms around it. Because you need it in your life.
