Lenalidomide is a cancer medicine and is recognized by its brand name, Revlimid.

Lenalid is a treatment for myeloma and blood disorders called myelodysplastic symptoms. You may also have it as part of clinical analyses for other types of cancer.

What is lenalidomide used for? Lenalidomide is used to handle various types of cancers. It works by reducing or stopping the growth of cancer cells. Lenalid is also used to manage anemia (a lack of red blood cells) in patients with myelodysplastic symptoms created by an unusual chromosome. This disease is also called deletion 5q MDS. In people with this disease, the bone marrow does not generate sufficient healthy blood cells. Lenalidomide 10 mg is also used to handle mantle cell lymphoma, follicular lymphoma, or marginal zone lymphoma. Lenalidomide is not prescribed for the treatment of a particular type of cancer (chronic lymphocytic leukemia) because of the raised risk of serious heart-related side effects and death.
