Thirsting for his freedom and the chance to build an empire, Levi enters an unlikely partnership with Vianca Augustine’s estranged son. Meanwhile, Enne remains trapped by the mafia donna’s binding oath, playing the roles of both darling lady and cunning street lord, unsure which side of herself reflects the truth.

As Enne and Levi walk a path of unimaginable wealth and opportunity, new relationships and deadly secrets could quickly lead them into ruin. And when unforeseen players enter the game, they must each make an impossible choice: To sacrifice everything they’ve earned in order to survive...

Wow this was so much better then book 1 , and the characters seem more real then they did in the first book as well, other thing I liked about this one was while Ace OF Shades was slow and it was hard to get into this one I didn't have that problem with at all, it was so easy to get lost in the story that there was times I didn't want to put it down.
the more I read the more I grew to like Enne as well as Levi, and now i can't wait for book 3 to come out if there is one to see what happens to Enne and Levi, with that said I want to think Netgalley for letting me read and review it exchange for my honest opinion.

Would I recommend it? yes . in fact I already did to my friends when I was reading book 5

Would I read anything else by this author ? yes

I can't understand why I waited so long to read this book , as soon as I got book 5 , i went ahead and read it and I was hooked, so much so I enabled my friends Robin and Frishawn  to pick up the series and read it which they did, now i can't wait to read books 1-3 , and i will be buying this series when I can . I loved the characters in it but my favorite was Raul and his dog Taz , loved how well they worked together and came together like a family . as for Mali it took me a little while to like her because of the way she acted towards her sister and her's sister's job, and the need to help people . With that said i want to think Netgalley for letting me read it and review it exchange for my  honest opinion .

Would I recommend it? no

Will I be going on with the series? no

I just couldn't get into the story and I was so hoping to at least wither like it or love, but unfortunately I don't ,there was times I wanted to DNF it so bad and there was times I had to put it down, other then that made me pick it up was that it sounded like it was a book James Rollins would write but once again unfortunatelty its not, at lest with Mr,Rollins books I'm hooked from the very start, don't want to put them down and can't wait to read more of the series . With that said I want to think Netgalley for at least letting me read and review it exchange for my honest opinion.

Will I read any thing else by this author: yes

Will I go on with this series: yes

Its dark and twisted to the point that once you start to read it you don't want to stop , it does deal with some dark and heavy stuff so that might a wronging to some people , the killer is creepy and terrifying at the same time, and as you reading the story , it keeps you guessing from the start , you have no idea who the killer is ,or if his someone that knows Ziba and is close to her . And the more Ziba looks into the old woman's words 'he did it' , truths start to come out , with that said I want to thank Netgalley for letting me read it exchange for my honest opinion
