Four Rules That Will Help You Make The Perfect Sandwiches

Cooking for oneself is painful unless you have sincere interest in it. There is one thing that has always come to my rescue in times of extreme hunger. Could you guess, what is it? It is none other than sandwiches. They do not ask for much efforts and time, they’re easy to prepare. Maybe, that is why I’m a person who won’t mind biting sandwiches in her everyday breakfast. I do not even have the track of times when sandwiches have satiated my stomach and of course, heart. Sandwiches are love. Isn’t it? The first sandwich was prepared somewhere in the 1st century BC and its craze hasn’t ended any sooner. If you’re searching for some tips to make the perfect sandwiches for you or your kids, here’re some of them.

There is no denying the fact that bread is the essence of a perfect sandwich. Before you try the easy and quick sandwich recipes, picking up the right type of bread is most important. You should know which type of bread will bring out the best flavors of your sandwich recipes. It can either be a spongy bun or a crispy french loaf, it is absolutely on your taste buds. Whether it will be an usual white loaf or the light pita pockets, look for yourself. In my spare time, I love to cook for my spouse and kids. Sandwiches are our favorite breakfasts on lazy weekends. I’ve already laid my hands on a variety of sandwiches, so, I pretty well know which type of bread fits for different types of filling. Generally, I use dry and thick crusts to keep the moist filling from falling. I guess, that can work for you too. Give it a try.

No matter what the world says, I am a lady who prefers toasted breads over the fancy ones. I read in a green chutney recipe for sandwich book a few weeks back that if one toasts a bread, it tastes the sweetest. I believe, it can not be more true. Usually, for a person, mornings go from jumping off the bed to rushing to the kitchen to prepare the first meal of the day. On days, when you feel like skipping your breakfast due to lack of time or otherwise, simply toast and warm up your bread or savour it cold and take a bit of what morning sweetness feels like.

Kids these days are choicy especially when it comes to food. To add a little more flavors to your boring breads, you can use sandwich sauces such as BBQ, mayonnaise or any other which you would not mind having on your breads. A combination of delicious and healthy food is hard to find. Thus, it is recommended that you switch to healthier options such as home-prepared salsa, whole grain mustard or pesto.

How to get rid of dampness?

Often, I prepare the perfect sandwiches which get ruined by sogginess. It is painful to see my kids pushing back the plate of my finely made sandwiches on the breakfast table. Pissed off of the everyday sogginess, I figured out a few ways to keep my sandwiches sog-free.

Here’re a few tips to avoid the sogginess:

  • Spread a thin layer of butter over your bread to keep it protected from turning soggy.
  • Substances like cucumber and tomatoes consist of a high moisture content. So, it is better to place them between two slices of a bread right before serving it on a platter along some tasty chutneys such as onion tomato chutney.
  • Add a layer of cheese or meat to the bread when you’re using hydrating ingredients.
  • To balance the stuffing in your sandwiches, you can use light sauces or chutneys such as vinegar or onion tomato chutney to get the best flavors. Wondering how to find an easy and simple green chutney recipe for sandwich? Check our previous blogs!
