Hold on
Lost Love: A Second Chance Romance (Only Him Series Book 2) - Casey C Nicole N Cleveland C

This is the 2nd book in the Only Him series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  For reader enjoyment, and clear of spoilers, I always recommend reading series stories in order intended.

Derek has come home to work out why he cannot move on with his love life.  When he left years ago, it was an impulse and he was racked with pain from rejection.  Coming back is either brave or stupid, but he needs to know.

Gio has no idea what to expect.  He has not seen Derek since that time so long ago.  He too, has been struggling with moving on.  Can they get it right this time?  Or is the pain of the past just the foreshadowing of the future?

These two so obviously belong together.  They can't even keep their hands or mouths to themselves!  It is a fine addition to the series.  I give this book a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Smoking
Only For You (The Lick Series) - Naima Simone

This is third book in the Lick series and I think the best and the most anguish for Killian and Gabriella. Killian trying to move on from being sent to jail for 2 years by the one of the people he's trusted the most, Gabby, and Gabriella for sending him there and a few secrets that they are each still keeping.

When Gabriella offers her body for one more night as punishment and the both move on? Will they get answers?

Naima Simone did it again and wrote a great book that I could not put down and was marvelous. Getting to see Rion and Sasha also helped. I highly recommend this book.

If Santa Were a Cowboy by Melissa Cutler
If Santa Were a Cowboy (One and Only Texas) - Melissa Cutler

If Santa Were a Cowboy got off to a bit of a slow start - but by the end I was in love. Paul and Kelly have a history, and it's one full of hurt and rejection - this gets mentioned a bit too much sometimes. I knew what happened and it just kept being said over and over. Both characters are running in their own way - running from their past. Paul just did it a lot sooner than Kelly.

But now Kelly is hoping that Paul will consider taking a bit of his past back - specifically her. She doesn't go about this in the best way, and Paul isn't afraid to let her know. There's some really great dialog and I love how into being Santa Paul gets - you can tell he really loved the tradition.

The character that stole the show though - the dog. I want her. She's just too adorable and is eventually the reason for the HEa - but I won't say too much on that. Overall, a cute Christmas story.

Great read
Only For Your Touch (The Lick Series) - Naima Simone

Sasha and Corrine meet at Sasha's club, she is trying to sneak out and get away from her family troubles. Sasha doesn't want her in the club or want her family issues in her club. But there is some major chemistry when they meet so they end up having a "no strings attached" relationship. Until people catch on to who she is. can Sasha and Corrine just move on?

Naima Simone has again kept you engaged and wanting more. This book I couldn't put down. This was the second book but a stand alone, I can't wait for the next one in the series.

The Only Guy (The Guy Series)
The Only Guy (The Guy Series) - Skylar M. Cates *** 3 okay, then meh stars ***

Audio edition, narrator Matt Baca.
7 hours 47 minutes

Overall: 3
Performance: 4
Story: 2

Sadly I didn't like this as much as the first one. It started out good, but the last 20% was not so good. It kinda ruined my impression of the book.

Narrator Matt Baca does a good job with this one too. I did hear one mistake, though. When Jesse looks at the old letters from Aaron early in the book, Baca says "Anthony's letters" instead of "Aaron's letter". Anthony is the main character from #1.
