Padma Shri Dr. Kamini Rao is the most famous names in the field of Assisted Reproductive Medicine. She is an expert in the area of reproductive technology, and has been presented the Padma Sri award in the year 2014. Dr. Kamini Rao has an outstanding history not only in the field of medicines but also well versed in the field of critical surgeries, and also social works. Dr. K. Bhujang Shetty is the Chairman and Managing Director of Narayana Nethralaya Eye Hospital. And he was awarded Rajyotsava Awardee in 2010.

Dr. K. Bhujang Shetty was born in a village near Kundapur in the year 1953. He spent his ten years in his village and later on he travelled back to Bangalore. He then completed his schooling from Baldwin Boys High School in the year 1963-70. He also completed his MBBS degree in the year 1978 from Bangalore Medical College, Dr. K. Bhujang Shetty went on to complete his Masters’ degree in Ophthalmology in the year 1982 from the institute named Regional Institute of Ophthalmology.

He had a great enthusiasm to grow, and to anticipate future needs and interest to develop. The hospital was lifted to the current building in October 1993.

Once only an eye clinic is now a multi-specialty eye hospital and started developing year by year. To meet the growing demand for quality eye care, modern sophisticated equipment’s were attained.
