The Last Piece of My Heart
The Last Piece of My Heart - Paige Toon The Last Piece of My Heart - Paige Toon If you want a book that will calm you down, relax you, show you love and emotion, but at the same time turn your world around and make you cry at 2am, this is the perfect book for you!

Filled with so much love, laughter, happiness, tears, travelling, 7 second long hugs and intimate moments, this book has left me speechless until the very last page.

You will travel the world around with Bridget, and listen to her playlist, keep track of her thoughts and be a witness while she tries to take her pieces of her heart sorted out together again.

But she will fall in love with a person she's expected least - a tiny little baby girl!
Definitely a book that I would recommend to all of you that love these type of stories, and all of you that don't - because you'll love this one regardless!

I Knew You Were Trouble
I Knew You Were Trouble: A Jessie Jefferson Novel - Paige Toon

I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first one, when everything was so new and Jessie was learning to love her new family. Everything is more settled down, other than Jessie's love life of course--who should she choose: Tom or Jack? I was pretty equally torn until the half way-ish point and now I am pretty firmly Team Jack

The Accidental Life of Jessie Jefferson
The Accidental Life of Jessie Jefferson - Paige Toon

I enjoyed this, probably because I liked being back in the glamorous (or not so much anymore) world of Johnny Jefferson. He's grown up a little since Johnny be Good and I like him a lot more than I did initially. I even loved reading about how Jessie came into existence--he wasn't always an arse! He had cared about people before Meg and the boys.

I have to admit though that Jessie annoyed me quite a bit in this. One minute I was sympathetic to what she was going through and the next she was being a right brat and I wanted to give her a good smack. I know you're only 15 and haven't matured a lot but really?! At least by the end of the book she'd matured quite a bit and realised how badly she'd treated some people.

I'm not sure if I'd class this as being a romance either. It had slight aspects. Two love interests for Jessie but nothing really happened with either of them, she isn't going out with one or the other...but I'm pretty sure that that might change in the next one.

I am interested in reading it at some point but not quite yet.

The Longest Holiday by Paige Toon
The Longest Holiday - Paige Toon

For my first book review, I wanted to write about a book that inspired me... A book that I overwelmingly related to, and a book that changed my way of thinking. The Longest Holiday by Paige Toon was exactly that. For some people, me saying this might bring some confusion. Yes, a chick-flick book changed my life!

Firstly, I read this book on my way to New York- finishing the whole thing within my bumpy seven hour flight. Straight away I was hooked, the writing, the plot... everything just works. Maybe it was the fact I was on my way to a new place- like Laura, or maybe it was the fact that at the time of reading this, I too, had a no good boyfriend. But whatever the case, the storyline worked for me.

Without dwelling on my own life, I strongly believe that this book is a must read, especially for teenagers in relationships. Not only is it funny, emotional and dramatic...it teaches a wonderful life lesson: Don't take shit from anyone!

I highly recommend you follow Laura on her wonderful journey of life, heartache, love and strength. It's a perfect holiday book, a perfect guilty pleasure, and a perfect pick me up. Admitidly, it's one of my favourite books to date, and I'm lucky to have read it in a time when I needed it most.
