Children Can Get Cavities on Their First Tooth


Even if your infant only has one tooth inside his or her mouth, he can get a cavity. Tooth decay is a childhood chronic disease in Canada, as well as in other countries around the world. However, it is a preventable disease. Many children eat and drink foods filled with sugars and their teeth are not rinsed properly or brushing is not completed well. Children who fall asleep with a bottle of milk or juice are particularly susceptible as they sleep with sugars lingering on their teeth all night long.
